I don’t see why some are confident Wycombe will fall away. Don’t know all the ins and outs but someone on here posted that they got taken over and have money to spend. They have stability under Ainsworth and have similarities to the Burton side of 15/16 who people said wouldn’t last the pace.

They just keep winning despite being dismissed. 9 clear of us with 4 more wins

If anything, our form over the last 10 games puts us as the more likely ones to fall away - they have 10 more points than us in that time

Interesting to see what he does next week I think it’s either 2 up front or he drops Baka if he goes 2 up front who do you see dropping out though ? I think looking at it kelly Walsh Shipley Zain all playing well just can’t see him dropping any of them mate

I reckon he'll just replace Baka with Biamou to start with, hoping to bring Westbrooke and Shipley into play.

When they run out of steam last mins bring on O'Hare and Hiwula with the system becoming a bit more fluid - they can either play the same formation or Hiwula going more as a striker and O'Hare as No.10.

I think personally we should go back to a front two with Baka & Max.

Looked really good at Peterborough?

I'd give two up top a whirl for the cup game anyway.

Horrible team though. Horrible. If we score first against them we win. Their whole game plan is foul, time waste, breakup play and wind up and then when they sneak the lead they multiply it coupled with diving and getting in the refs faces. Fuck em I can't wait to burst their bubble

They’re a team that shithouses games. Like you say sneak a goal and kill the game. Warnock or someone on quest last night praised their fantastic game management. Like a true pro who never has to pay to watch a team time waste after 20 minutes. It’s anti football and I really hope they drop like a stone.

2bf that’s a bit harsh. You play to your strengths. Wycombe I’d say have one of the lowest budgets in the league.

its the same about parking the bus in the prem. But realistically you’re not going to watch Southampton think “fuck it let’s go toe to toe with Man City”

yeah it’s not pretty but it’s effective, give me winning football over pretty football any day

Baka had a good game yesterday and I can’t recall him missing any sitters; granted he didn’t look confident with the intercepted back pass, but the angle was tight and Burge was on him straight away, while the header was backwards and clearly a foul from Burge.

His overall game yesterday was a lot better; he closed down and actually linked play well. His downside is his lack of killer instinct, at times he doesn’t seem sure what runs to make and looks short of confidence in front of goal (e.g. the chance on his right foot he tried to square to Shipley). However, while it was the sub we all called for, bringing him off had a negative effect on the game. Hiwula was non-existent and too lightweight.

I think Baka can do a job up front as part of a two, but in an ideal word we sign another striker and/or get Godden fit and let him and Max terrorise L1!

Disappointing result as we dominated the game and the goal was an example of really poor defending, but before the game you’d have taken a draw against one of the favourites to go up.
