None of that is relevant when we had it within reach on the day and fucked it up?

annoys me when we throw points away on the day and people act like it’s not a big deal because of some bullshit stats

Not good enough. How long are we going to say a point is a good result away when we should clearly win the game. Sitting back and not taking our chances has cost us the 3 points, they were there for the taking why did we take our foot off the pedal?

That and our inability to win away from home.

Gutted. We were much better than them. They are shit. Typical last minute goal we concede away from home. I’ll take a point but we should have taken 3.

At least Hiwula is back. Max back for the next game and Allen making an appearance.

No doubt i'm in the minority here, but i'd take the point.

Not done much wrong at all. Loads of chances, still without some of our main players, we managed to get their crowd on their backs and we looked great in parts of this game.

I've certainly felt a lot more annoyed conceding in the last min as I do today. Its a long season and keep playing like that, with us getting some players back and we will be in the mix

We should have been out of sight at half time. Predictably sat off them and tried to soak up pressure for 45 minutes before the inevitable fuck up at the back.

Had chances didn’t take them paid the price it’s these dropped points that will cost us Biamou to start next week

Disappointing that - Sunderland were really poor. Get a player who can score and this team will do very well in this league.

Peterborough 2 - 1 up and concede in the 95th minute

Sunderland 1-0 up and concede in the 90th minute.

4 points dropped, on had to hang on for another 6 minutes across the 2 games.

Going into December and we still haven't won away. Very poor. 6 points dropped in the 90th min onwards vs 3 top 6 rivals. Not good enough.

Can't believe all the loser talk on here, we dominated for large periods, and threw it away at the end. They're piss poor and were there for the taking, another 2 points dropped to add to those at Bolton, Oxford and Peterborough.

Can we get a bit of perspective here.

Sunderland's home record in L1 is played 31, won 17, drawn 13, lost 1. We're currently 5th.

Some of the responses on here you'd think we'd just been relegated.

Don't forget going 3-2 up at Oxford in injury time then still conceding anyway.

Thought Baka did OK today with his movement and occupying defenders but he just is not ruthless at all, not too left footed as well. Our midfield lost control in the second half of the second half as well, Shipley and Westbrooke only have 60 minutes legs in them in this formation.

Not sure how Hiwulu and O’Hare are getting slated. We didn’t get the ball out of our half hardly after they came on due to the inevitable pressure.

We’ve done well with our 3rd/4th choice striker leading the line for 3 games.

Jordy and Max coming back and Godden to follow. Agree it feels like two points dropped but I can’t be anything other than optimistic for the second half of the season.

Disappointing result in the end but we've also had a few where we've sneaked a goal at the death we arguably didn;t deserve. Provided we don't lose to Ipswich and can beat Shrewsbury it won't be too bad a result..

Subs - I also felt Hiwula and O'Hare could've made a difference with pace but wouldn't have taken Baka off because he's the only physical presence up front. Yes, he missed chances early on that had he taken them their equaliser would've been irrelevant. Having Max back will be a bif plus and had he been available today I don't think we'd have drawn.

I know this is a massive “if” and can be swatted away with “you can say that about anyone”, but if we could keep our concentration and could finish our chances, those 6 points dropped you just mentioned would put us in automatics.

That is what separates us from promotion contenders. No chance this season as it stands.

Hiwula showed exactly why he isn't the man to play alone up front as advocated by many on here

To constantly score with the midfield you have to play higher up the pitch . We are good enough to do that . When we score we drop and rely on a target man . Baka is not quick enough or good enough.
