I’d go with these. Maybe Bidwell a 5…didn’t think he was as bad as Allen or Eccles but he was still poor.
I thought Palmer looked like he could be really good.

Decent result given that we weren’t firing on all cylinders.

Moore 5- massive error for their goal but other than that didn’t put a foot wrong

Eccles 3- Absolutely dreadful. Understand he’s out of position but his passing was horrific and positioning was awful

Hyam 6.5- solid performance really but don’t think he was tested that much

Fadz 6- similar to Hyam not really much to do but really hope I never see him try a cross field diagonal again

Panzo 7.5- Good progressive centre half that carried it well throughout, passing not the best at times but looked relatively solid.

Bidwell 5- Very poor for their goal and not good going forward. Was solid defensively after the goal

Hamer 6- Grew as the game went on but think he struggled without the space that O’Hare generates for him

Sheaf 6- Similar to Hamer, got better as the game went on but struggles in the tight spaces

Allen 6- Usual energetic performance from him with some good link up play but think we lacked shape when he was playing as we didn’t have the advanced midfielder and it was more a bank of 3 in the midfield creating congestion

Godden 5.5- Not his best game, missed an absolute sitter but struggled to get in the right areas

Gyokeres 7- Fairly quiet game for his standards but a moment of brilliance getting us a point

Subs:
Palmer 6.5- looked fairly good and lively with some nice one touch play in areas on the left flank, expect him to start next week
Dabo 7- looked very lively and up for it when he came on, was a driving force down the right
Tavares 6- wasn’t invoked too much but some good link up play with Dabo both causing issues for their left hand side
Walker 6- Impressed in comparison to what we had from Walker last year. Strong in his hold up play and he actually moved for once

Moore 5

Flapped and cost a goal. Couple of bread and butter saves that any Championship keeper should make but other than that he hasn’t done himself any favours.

Eccles 6

Grew into the game and some decent play just before he came off. We need a fit a Dabo or a loanee swap for Kane or something. Just think he needs to go on loan to L1.

Hyam 8

Thought he did well. Brought ball out well. Cleared his lines. Can’t remember any mistakes.

Fadz 7

As above.

Panzo 7

Great shot and I think he’ll get a handful of goals this season. Couple of misplaced passes but he did well on balance.

Bidwell 5

I don’t care that he’s played xyz games for Swansea. Poor crosses. Just. Meh.

Hamer 7

Silly booking but he showed his quality when he got a chance.

Allen 5

Not good enough. Just not good enough at this level.

Sheaf 5

No one is allowed to be honest about Sheaf without some gargler on here jumping on the thread. Dithered rather than shot and a number of times looked flat footed and let the play run by him. Not impressive.

Godden 6

Missed a sitter but ran around well and a bit more game management from him.

Gyok 8

Quality.

Subs all 6

Agree with a lot of this; and also noticed Dabo and Tavares causing quite a few problems for the oppo like you mention HW,

Fair play for missing Bidwell off...utter shite again

Disappointed with Bidwell again. Defended like a middle age Sunday league player for the goal. Flat footed, easily fooled and allowed the Sunderland player all the time he needed to pick the cross. Moore still made a howler but this isn’t the first time Bidwell has defended like an 18 stone pub player.

The triple change changed it for us. We were slow and lethargic until then.

Panzo had a storming game, read it well and was aggressive in challenging attackers. Gyokeres took his goal fantastically well, classic number 9 play. Take the point and let’s make it three against Rotherham.

Moore - 5: Shocking for the first goal. Decent take from their cross, can’t remember much else.

Hyam - 6: OK

Fadz - 6: OK

Panzo 8(MOTM): Looked excellent on the ball, strong in the air and some good tackles. Can see why Robins has been tracking him for so long.

Eccles - 5: Poor, seems like a lot of midfielders we produce who are tidy and technically good but lack anything outstanding. Not a WB at all.

Hamer - 5: Was bad Hamer, silly booking, not great going forwards and poor set pieces.

Sheaf - 7: Still hard over that outside of the boot throughball, got stuck in well, looks a lot less jittery on the ball in our third from this time last season.

Bidwell - 6: Poor. Offered nothing going forwards and should’ve done better for the goal.

Allen - 5: Was he even on the pitch? Not a Championship AM, works hard but impacts little.

Godden - 5: Not much service but should’ve taken the chance gifted to him. Especially as Hamer who left it for him probably would have.

Györkeres - 7: Great goal, worked hard all game.

Dabo - 7: That’s how you play wingback (even though he was FB at the time). Got at them and looked dangerous.

Palmer - 7: Some nice touches showed there’s a player in there. Height came in useful on a couple of occasions. Excited to see more once he’s up to speed.

Walker - 6: Ran about a bit

Tavares - 6: Ran about a bit quite fast.

Bidwell didn’t have a great game but some of the comments are just laughable A Sunday league player - dear me

How someone gives Hyam an 8 is it out of 20?

Pretty much spot on. Eccles and Bidwell dreadful. Hamer well off it. Godden has one job and missed it.

Those who came on looked good.

Moore 5 can't give him any better for such a bad error
Eccles 5 Sunderland were aggressive and he just didn't respond, poor awareness for the goal
Panzo 7 looks great on the ball, we've got to adapt slightly as to how we play off his forward runs
Fadz 7 solid i thought, Stewart was a handful
Hyam 6 caught under the ball for the goal
Bidwell 5 beaten a bit too easily for the goal and then didn't use the ball very well, wasn't anywhere near as bad as said on here
Hamer 7 don't understand the low ratings as we bossed midfield for a lot of the game
Sheaf 7 as Hamer
Allen 5 just didn't look up to it
Godden 5 wasn't involved much and then missed a good chance, a rusty effort really
Gyokeres 8 thought he started quite poorly but then was our biggest threat

Hamer getting 5s shows some people’s complete lack of footballing understanding. He wasn’t at his usual level in terms of delivery, but he absolutely bossed the midfield despite being man marked for most of the game. Stupid booking mind. It’s like he needs to get that out of the way so he can start playing.

One of the worst games he's ever had for us. The tackle was embarrassing. It's like he does it for a laugh.
