Was on BBC TV, though mainly just a rehash of news stories for the last week presented by Simon Gilbert.

Wasps didn't pay £21m for the ricoh. They paid £6.5m (£2.77m x2 plus £1m lease extension)

Simon, have you forgotten about formatting since you moved from a website to TV? :D

Didn't think it was possible for him to come over worse than he did on CWR but this makes me want to punch the screen.

Everyone knows there was no mention of 4 years by the council or anyone else. Its becoming like 'washing its face', he seems to hope if he says it enough it will somehow become true. Very simply they have misled, if you're being charitable, outright lied, if you're not, the electorate either at the time of the sale or now as what they said then doesn't match what they said now - can't both be right.

He's not sure what people want the council to do? I know I'm not the only one that's been contacting the council so why play dumb? How about agreeing to Boddy's requests for meetings, how about turning up for a key meeting at the Houses of Parliament, how about asking Wasps to come back to the table for talks. If any other company that had a similar value to the local economy was about to walk away they'd be doing everything they could to get them to stay, instead he just stands there smirking. Same with finding a suitable site. Are we really supposed to believe that if any other company went to the council and asked for help identifying a suitable site so they could bring a business to the city that would greatly benefit the local economy the response would be that the council would do the minimum required by law?

An increasing number of people won't accept 'but SISU' as an answer anymore and unfortunately for Duggins that's all he seems able to come up with.

Seriously, it mustn't have taken much wasps assurance that the football and rugby club wouldn't be damaged by selling the Ricoh with these Muppets. 10mins later and it was handshakes and cuddles on the pitch.
    Unreal!

Depends, has that business repeatedly shown it can’t be trusted and is intent on wasting council resources?

Yes they can talk, also been doing that for years to no avail and not a wise idea without good reason when you’re being sued.

He should apologise for not attending the Wasps/Sisu/EFL meeting though. Though it seems it was the right move as again nothing useful came from it.

I don't think my boss would agree it was the right move not to attend if that was the excuse I gave. Pretty sure I'd be in big trouble and would have it very clearly pointed out to me that nothing is likely to come of meetings where one of the key people decides not to turn up.

The worrying thing is, that could also mean the Council.

Maybe the meeting didn't come to anything as they just sent a solicitor to accept the legals being dropped rather than any discussion that could lead to it ;)
