Problem would be depth if you did that tho especially in centre back.

Depends what league we are in. Odds would say the Championship. First look would be free transfers. Second who do we want from Swansea our feeder club? Think we will have more loans, dare I say from Chelsea. Will look if any players from relegated teams are worth a punt? A couple of left-field signings from abroad.

Two types of recruitment as most see it.

1) Winning promotion, even if its not this year
2) Competing in the Premier League once we have made it. If its this season, we have a lot of championship standard players on long contracts and not too many that are PL standard

Could do a lot worse than Tymon from Swansea as our left back.

Are there any Rudoni's we can steal off the teams down in the relegation fight in the Championship?

They're not as young as Rudi but I'd take Adams from Derby, Doughty from Luton and Talovierov from Plymouth in a heartbeat.

Need to be looking for competition for Simms. I'd like a very similar player who is more of a nasty bastard.

Definitely need to be a bit pickier than that and i think the list misses out some of the better ones tbh. Nyambe isn't even Derbys best RB, Kane Wilson is, who would actually be a decent option to help MvE out. I like Alex Robertson at Cardiff as a midfield option too, certainly from what i saw against us.
Alfie Doughty would be good imo, we'd need them to go and get relegated to have a chance though.

Are we still counting Stoke as in the battle? Have to be if Hull are surely!
Snap your hands off for Burger and Manhoef.
As i've said before, stick a bid in for Burger anyway, almost left in Jan and wants out.

Don't necessarily need first XI bankers e.g. Drameh could be an option to cover MVE if he isn't sold.

I didn’t think I would need to spell it out but anyway.

‘The ownership needs to not sell our best players at the earliest opportunity’. That is not saying they have, that is saying we must not sell them in order to improve as a team.

You have correctly pointed out that after selling Hamer and Gyokeres we failed to make the play offs having made them the year before.

The summer just gone, we didn’t sell any of our best players and are challenging for the play offs.

This coming summer, we need to keep our best players in order to compete again and not regress like we did after Gyokeres and Hamer left.

It’s not hard to understand but I recognise any mention of Bling making a mistake will set you off

100%

Sheaf, Wright and MVE should be signed up to new 5yr contracts regardless of whether they don't want to sign/outgrow us/make us a fortune that can be used to transform the club.

Infact I'd take this further and say Gyok and Hamer should be 1.5yrs into their new 5yr contracts with us right now.

If someone is good they should be playing for us forever and ever, full stop.

Are you going to hold a gun to players heads?

The main reason we sold Gyokeres and Hamer was they were both coming into their last year of their contracts. Neither of them were going to sign another contract. We let them go nearly 2 years ago because if we didn't we would have lost them for not a single penny last summer. Instead we got well in excess of 40m for them. From that money we have built a side that can challenge at the top end of the table. We have players on long contracts worth millions each. We broke our transfer record signing Wright. Either I'm missing something here (nothing unusual) and you're taking the piss, or you haven't noticed every player has a price no matter what club they play for and also players don't play at 1 club for their whole career anymore. Grimes was the closest to this out of any player in recent years I can think of yet we still tempted him away.

Good to hear

I have a personal problem. I'm wired up totally wrong. I'm considered to be a genius but in reality I'm as thick as fook. I can read a person immediately but can take all day trying to understand what they write. That's why I keep away from places like Farcebook and Twatter. I can't even get my head around things like someone using filters to make themselves look totally different then having people telling them how good they look The last time I used Farcebook was many years ago. I arranged to meet up with someone in a pub. This bird walked over and started chatting with me. Told her I was waiting for someone. She told me it was her. Fooked my head up as I knew she was telling me the truth but I knew it wasn't her

Back on subject. What was the subject?

I’d love Knight, Bird or McNally but I highly doubt they’d sell them to us, and on Dickie I’d rather a more mobile CB.

Thinking today what we’d need if we didn’t go up and kept everyone as Saddle is suggesting is a possibility.

We are desperately lacking wide forwards fullbacks and a CB but otherwise I think we’re looking much better at CM and ST

Think I’d go something like:

Dovin/Wilson
MvE/RB
Thomas/Lats
CB/Kitching
LB/Dasilva
Grimes/Sheaf
CM/Allen
Rudoni/Torp
Saka/RW
Wright/Simms/BTA/Bassette
EMC/LW

Get a couple of loans in out wide that can challenge. An upgrade on Allen as an all action box to box midfielder, first choice LB and CB and cover at RB. Not sure we can do all that for the £6m or so Vik is likely to bring in but would be ideal.
