Either that or they are lining up options for replacing MVE.

That young PNE left back (on loan from Brentford) looked half decent (pace) against Villa today.

We will need to add a goalie to our summer recruitment plans.

Moving quickly on the goalkeeper front if this is to be believed Uppgifter: Coventry intresserat av Kees Sims

A couple of months ago, Gais goalkeeper Kees Sims, 22, extended his contract with the Gothenburg club until 2028. But now he could be heading abroad.

Fotbolldirekt.se writes that several clubs in The Championship want to sign the goalkeeper. One of them is Coventry City, where former Hammarby keeper Oliver Dovin is based. However, Dovin was injured in this weekend's match against Sheffield United and risks being out for a long time.

Kees Sims joined Gais from Ljungskile SK at the beginning of 2024. Last year he guarded the cage in eight Allsvenskan matches.

Yes ,I've been around long enough to see the likes of Madonna, Pele, Crying, Best, Zigane , Platini, Charlton , Beckenbauer. He's done it for so long, amazing passer of the ball, at his peak a great dribbler of the ball, goal assists 400, goals over 800 . A little magician.

They’d give Leon Best and Simon Charlton a run for their money though.

Sell Sheaf on, bring him in - don't know if there is a compensation fee or anything for him but that seems smart business for at least same standard of performance?

We'd need to pay compensation for Kyprianou as he's under 24 and rejected a contract. I think we paid about £500k compo for Lati.

The Peterboro left back Mills scored a worldie free kick as well. They’ve got some great talent.

Granted it was a great free kick but let's not have a mass creaming session over their players eh - if they were that talented they'd be near the top plus Blues were possibly in party mode & off form for one day

The posh owner will be rubbing his hands , awaiting the likes of many a championship club coming in for their players now .
Got to remember that yesterday was a one off though , as they haven’t been great in the league & he will want top money , like we had to pay for EMC

Have any of the data bods got a feeling for what Kyprianou looks like from that POV? Physically he looks like a Sheaf clone and his output looks decent. Out of contract means he should be good value.

I think Dovin’s injury and Van Ewijk and Rudoni’s form changes our priorities. I don’t know about anyone else but I’m assuming we lose Wright, Van Ewijk and maybe Rudoni. So we’ll need to prioritise two RB’s. Well maybe get away with 1 LB but we’d need an attacking midfielder. Interesting summer coming up.

I don’t think we lose any of them, if grimes is the level of player we’re signing then we won’t be far off again next season
