Summer transfer window 2024 (2 Viewers)

TBH fuck it, sell Simms or Wright, give Bassette or EMC more time. I’d do it for a player like Billing. MvE would be an issue unless we had someone lined up.

Well if we want to go up/top 6 which should be the ambition, no it’s not.

I think Simms might struggle for game time anyway once Bassette settles in.

Might be why we had Sonne lined up. Would you trade MVE for Billing, Sonne and cash?

Tough one. I really like MvE.
Me too, i think he's our best player, or at least the one with the potential to go the furthest in the game. But i can see why it would be considered.

Give it a fucking rest you whinging cunts. Midfield hasn't been great early season but that isn't entirely down to the limitations of the players, it's not as if they are all at the top of their game.

No that's a good point, Eccles Torp and Allen are actually premier league quality and we're lucky to have them

Silkeborg turned down two offers from England for Oliver Sonne.

The clubs interested were: Burnley (Penny's ex-club) and Coventry City (Zúñiga's ex-club) from the Championship.

I can't believe people would sell Simms or Wright?!

For years we've been crying out for a striker to hit 20 goals a season and when we get two of them, people would be ok selling - when we're trying to get promotion?

Fucking hell!

There's far too much over-reaction to 2/3 mediocre performances in just our first 3 games.

Over - reacting to other posters over-reactions isn't helping either

pretty much

as i said i think it is performative now

Yay a midfield of Eccles, Torp and Allen tomorrow then

And this is the problem if we don’t sign a CM, every time Sheaf is out our midfield becomes sketchy at best.

I’m really surprised we haven’t signed someone tbh, we’ve had ample opportunity to sign a bit of quality in midfield, and I don’t buy this argument that there’s “no one out there that fits the bill”, I’m sure there’s a shit ton of midfielders we could sign, from League 1 to the Swiss Super League. There must be some reason for the lack of a CM but as a fan it’s proper frustrating.

I don’t think anybody wants to sell Simms or Wright, but the forward area is clearly our strongest so I think what people are saying is if we had to sell a big name to fund some more business, i.e. in midfield, then you’d more likely choose Simms than say Sheaf or MVE.

It's how "the model" works . Sell high to reinvest again , then repeat ad finitum
