Not a 10…not playing every 90 as a youngster coming on loan to the best team in the division is normal. Obviously not a world beater or else I wouldn’t even be talking about us signing him

He is an 8 not a 10. Can play higher up but is a cm predominantly. Can also play DM.
I’m not sure why you are choosing to die on this hill but he’s not a CDM. Matesca said last season that he lacked the defensive qualities to play deeper.

He has raw physical attributes to play well in the center of the park, got a hell of a shot on him and plays a progressive game overall.
You said he can also play DM.
I agree he has potential but I think our priority is a defensive minded midfield player who links the play like Matt Grimes, both another offensive player.
He can also play as a DM where he has before in the same way Torp can play AM or Van Ewijk RW, but he is predominantly a CM. I agree with everything you've said here barring the Casadei comments but it's all really just semantics at this point. We need a progressive defensive minded midfielder, and I think Casadei could be that for us in the case we're looking for a loan. I would rather someone else but what other loan options are there?
I think our best bet is a club who have been stockpiling players and even talented younger players know they need to leave on loan to get any minutes.
