Windass sounds like a night with the Mrs.

Bad rumour, not even slightly convinced we’d consider him.

Honestly wouldn’t mind windass. Decent backup at every forward position
Depends how much we're actually going to invest in 'squad' players. I'd hope for better but I've got a suspicion we may have to be more realistic with some of the signings.

Would be surprised by this. Feels like the Billy Sharp link last season that won't actually happen.

I guess we're looking for experienced players to come into the squad but don't want to shell out fees for them (save that for players with resale value).

Played 4 seasons at this level which isn't to be sniffed at and whoever comes into the squad in a forward position is going to be 5th choice for the front 3.

Windass would be smart business in all honesty
Great veteran at this level who’s not playing for a large squad role, will be on relatively low wages as he’s coming from Wednesday and can cover any position in attack. Definitely better than Godden, delusional to say otherwise, one has legs while the other doesn’t. Not a flashy signing we want but he’s not coming in to start, he would be for depth and support. On a free why not?

If he’s cheap backup then fair enough, Wright and Simms don’t seem injury prone.

As long as we’re not Reliant on him.

He'll be on decent money at Wednesday, he went there from Rangers. He's a reasonable player but not sure he's really what we need.

Can see there being truth to this, it was the same source who broke the news on us being interested in Raphael.

Yeah we also signed Arjan de Zeeuw for free and he was shit. What are we thinking. Let's never sign a player on a free transfer ever again.
Such a random comparison isn't it. Makes no sense.

My Leeds supporting mate has said they are apparently looking at MVE to solve their right back issue. They did show an interest before he signed for us.

Hopefully nothing in it.

No way! We need to hold on to our best players if we're serious about challenging for promotion, that's surely why we've got them signed on long contracts. MVE, Wright, Simms, EMC and Saka are the cornerstone of our future. Would like to resist offers for Sheaf too, but he may be more easily replaceable and losing him would have less impact

Course but if Leeds bid £20m what do you do
