Depends purely on if Brighton sell the main keeper. Personally just thinking he’s not coming back solely to not get disappointed 🤣
Personally, I think we’ll sign Rushworth, from his v first interview it was hinted that he thought he’d remain longer than just his loan spell.

As long as BHA don’t take the piss, well re-sign him and I’m not so sure they’d take a punt on him when they cash in a good £10m+ for FFP.

The likes of Newcastle and Leeds , and a few others will be looking for a new first team keeper. So there will be competition for Rushworths signature should Brighton decide to sell.

The feeling among the BHA fans I know is the opposite, that the club shouldn’t be spending an 8 figure sum on a keeper when it already has one worth that on the books.

Rushworth is unproven in the Prem, it’s not a safe bet for them and this applies to Leeds and Newcastle too.

From Rushworth’s own perspective, he probably doesn’t want to be Trafford’ed i.e. promised a big number 1 spot to be gazumped if a better, more experienced GK becomes available. Even then, Trafford had 1 season Prem experience under his belt.

For us, the signing is with the risk as we will probably expect to get relegated so we’ll have an eye on bouncing back up so it doesn’t matter too much if Rushworth isn’t as good in the Prem.

Tuchel opted to take Luke Steele in the England squad > Rushworth and that assessment is probably will be held by most Prem hierarchies until Rushworth plays a season in the Prem.

The 42 year old former manager of Peterborough Sports? England must be desperate!

Hamer being linked again and would be a good squad player for us if we get over the line (still anxious). Im sure there will be links to Callum Wilson again.
I’d hope Lampard will sue he connections, Delap might be available and could be a great loan. Ben Chilwell could be one to get, did wonder if a loan for Mount could happen to help him recover his form.

Nobody realistic really except for Chilwell

Wilson is out of contract and 34 so is realistic. Mount is out of form and could leave Utd, yes wages will be a problem but Lampard developed him so stranger things have happened.
I do think Prem experience is needed as someone said a Xhaka type player. It’s going to be tough whatever we do.

We won’t be after Wilson

Why do we always mention existing players?
Hamer - No
Wilson - No
Maddison - No
Tommy Hutchinson - No 😂

We will have scouted most leagues, so the ones who may come in we might never have heard of.

To be fair the normal shoddy Facebook links and by Sheff Utd fans. His fitness would be a huge issue for anyone interested this summer.

£5m as a squad option alongside ahead of Eccles/Torp maybe. Think we can find better for starter though.

Delap is not very good he's scored 1 goal for Chelsea and sent off once too. For some reason he's been linked with a move to Newcastle. He won't be going out on loan.
I could see Delap sent out on loan and reckon he would be a good shout but would expect him to be sent to a club in overseas arguably playing in a euro competition

Premier League or league one or League two, for goalkeepers it's about ability, Rushworth has it all, let's hope he gets the chance to play in the Premier League with us. You never know Brighton might want to test him out with us next season by giving us another loan for another season. 🤔

I think he’ll make the step up, but it’s still a huge risk for most Prem teams because he’s unproven at that level and that’s probably what it comes down to.

With us pretty much guaranteed to be in the Prem, I'd love us to get Ritsu Doan who can play RW/AM .. he's quick and direct, great close control and beats the full back, would be expensive but be worth it

Exactly.

To me it's points a player could be worth over the season, although Rushworth would also be seen as an investment. 20m for a young English GK that seems to have it all?
I'd be happier with Rushworth if we manage to get him than Dovin between the sticks.

It's a no brainer to try & buy Rushworth permanently - how else is he gonna get tested at Prem level if he never plays there?
