Well if he doesn't go there he will go to celtic. Anybody who thinks we have a genuine chance to sign him is beyond delusionalHope he enjoys playing in the Championship

Tell doug then. We don't pay more than 25k currently. We won't be paying any players 80k a week. If we go down we risk being in trouble financially again using your ideas. So nothing signed and only going there if they stay up. Basically just a rumour then.
I definitely don't fantasize over footballers pal.
If we aren't paying our top earner around £80k a week next season we might as well do a Luton and just accept we are going down. If you want Premiership quality and have any chance of staying up we will have to pay the wages.
It literally says he won’t join them if they’re relegated.Hope he enjoys playing in the Championship
Surely all the players that are under contract that we keep will get an increase? Just like there are clauses in most PL teams players' contracts that they will face a reduction of wages in case of relegation there must be a similar clause for promotionTell doug then. The other problem is signings. If you bring in a player you typically pay say over 3 years to the selling club. With PL finances only guaranteed for a year that makes for difficult decisions. Presumably selling clubs would want more/all money up front? If you can't pay wages in the long run then you end up selling cheap but if you can't pay debts it's points deductions and worse. King will have to be conservative on both angles.Tell doug then. We don't pay more than 25k currently. We won't be paying any players 80k a week. Captain fart doesn’t realise we’ll sell players

Yeah there are but club's get into trouble abusing them or have in the past.
Sheffield utd, West Bromwich, I'm not curtailing anything here, but no going to Macquarie's too get a loan against future payments from the parachute.Who? People seem to be advocating we spend nothing in case of what? We sign a load of crap we can’t get rid of? We put players on £80k/wk with no relegation clauses?
If we trust King and Austin not to be completely incompetent then there’s nothing to worry about. The clubs like Leicester an Sheff Wed people are worried about are extreme cases with extreme owners. They aren’t a reason to hobble any chance of staying up an earning tens of millions extra. Why even go up if that’s the case?
And this is the main problem teams are having. Macquaries and MSD are legalised loan sharks. Madness to approach themSheffield utd, West Bromwich, I'm not curtailing anything here, but no going to Macquarie's too get a loan against future payments from the parachute.

It's okay we're going to get Elons contribution on our power grid according to offgem.A

Or on the other hand spending money and not becoming competitive like Leicester and Sheffield United?I’d put this very much under “shite management” alongside silly wages with no release clauses. There’s a million ways to fuck a club over but “spending the money given to you to make your club competitive” isn’t one.
Nobody is saying we’ll sign 5 prem established players, but we need 1 or 2 like a grant xhaka typeNo one is saying we won’t spend anything or give it a go. It’s more tempering expectation that we’re going to suddenly start paying people £80k a week. We’ll spend some money. King won’t let it get out of control. But I don’t think we’ll see many established prem names arrive.
