Who would you suggest we replace them with that doesnt cost significantly more? Whilst we get some money for promotion, we have to use it wisely else it will soon disappear without significant improvementIf we could get
£8m for Simms
£5m for Torp/Eccles
£8m for Kitching & Woolf
£6/7m for BTA
That would be some cracking business tbh.
Thats near £30m there to reinvest.
well we’d replace them with players that do cost moreWho would you suggest we replace them with that doesnt cost significantly more? Whilst we get some money for promotion, we have to use it wisely else it will soon disappear without significant improvement

More expensive players doesnt necessarily mean improvement! You replace them with players who cost significantly more. Thats the whole fucking point of us getting £150m or whatever.

Well clearly thats not an option. £150m wont go far though.Best just not sign anyone then in case they’re not better than what we have.

Yes if you're not paying those players a salaryIt’s enough to break our record signing 15 times

Fair enough, but it still won't happen. 3 or 4 at that level at most I expect.OK it’s enough to break our record signing ten times and pay double our current wage bill. Roflcopter

They obviously been down to non league so I think they wanted to play safe and when their new stadium is completed they will be in a better position to competeAt least 2 years in League one is a mortgage on their future.
ZeroIf the stadium was owned outright with no debt. How much income would that generate each year?
They paid the price for their lack of any ambition at all. Completely pathetic, they are where they belong.Luton did not want to mortgage their future.
Where do we think some of our lot will go?
Could see Allen at Lincoln
Simms to Wolves
Bidwell to Leicester
This. There has to be a balancing act. If you sign players for the championship and get relegated… you’re taking the risk they come back with a losing mentalityThey paid the price for their lack of any ambition at all. Completely pathetic, they are where they belong.
Definitely some experience and physical ability for the CB. either Dunk from Brighton or McGuire, how old are they and how long are their contact's?I really want us to sign two new CBs but it’s probably unlikely. I can see a justification for upgrading every player we’ve got tbh. I think if we see quality we can afford we should go get it. Quite excited to see what we’ve got lined up.
But if we achieved those values that's acceptable to my mind, all would have achieved par for their purchase price and salary for the duration here with a little bit of upswing,so then we carry on with the model except the experienced example I've just speculated on because of no resale due to age.well we’d replace them with players that do cost more
Maguire just signed a new contractDefinitely some experience and physical ability for the CB. either Dunk from Brighton or McGuire, how old are they and how long are their contact's?
In the anticipation he's likely off somewhere possibly?Maguire just signed a new contract
No seems now he is back in the side they want him to stayIn the anticipation he's likely off somewhere possibly?
Nothing. It doesn’t make any money in net terms. Never had. It has obvious value in terms of security etc but it’s not a cash generatorIf the stadium was owned outright with no debt. How much income would that generate each year?
The whole figure is around 150m takes into account the prize money for finishing bottom. Then you get parachute payments after that.Where’s £150 m suddenly come from? It’s nearer £100m compared to the £25m we currently get. So with transfer fees and wages in theory we could have an extra £75m max I’d say
Why Wilson? We’ll need a cheap third keeper and a chief encouragerAs said above, the actual figure lobbed about inside the club is £220 million when you lump everything in. Mental
Anyway my take on the window
Going
Wilson
Woolfenden
Brau
Allen
Torp
Simms
Esse and Yang going back
There's still hope inside the club that Rushworth will return and theres a deal to be done, hes made it clear he wants to come back so let's hope so
If that happens add to him
2 CB
1 LB
2 CM
1 CAM
1 Winger
1 ST
Dasilva will be here as stand in, as will KKH. KKH Pace and physicality will stand him in good stead if need to be called upon
I'd prefer it if we broke our 2nd record signing 15 timesIt’s enough to break our record signing 15 times

Reading the part about Rushworth wanting to come back made my balls tingle, The Tank and Rushworth as first two signings to start an exciting summer windowAs said above, the actual figure lobbed about inside the club is £220 million when you lump everything in. Mental
