One more championship quality player in every position (at least). Especially since maatsen is on loan , waghorn and walker will probably go , Fadz might not last another year of peak performance , gyok , hamer and o’hare might leave etc. Unrealistic Though

I’d they didn’t recruit when we had a real chance of the play offs then I wouldn’t hold your breath in the summer either

Sell Hamer and replace him with 2 quality players, one of them being that bloke from Blackpool.

I think Robins has sewn the seeds regarding recruitment earlier this week.
We need better quality players, they cost money even if not in transfer fees, and quality loans.
We haven’t been brilliant for a few games for a while yet could still sneak into the play-offs with a bit of a run, personally I don’t think we are ready for that though, this group needs another twelve months with some additions in my opinion.
As I said MR has said as much earlier instead of getting on his case save it for the clown in charge of running our club.

We need to strengthen up-front and in defence if we’re serious about promotion. We’re nowhere near clinical enough.

What’s needed? Someone to put a block filter on Boddy’s email. No YouTube videos of European wide players.

(Hilssner, Jobello, Kasta, DaCosta etc).

I think if we stay in championship our wing backs will be okay but imo we need to keep JCS, a centre half, a tough midfielder and a striker with pace minimum aswell as Tavares.

We need good competition to push O'Hare
We need 3 defenders as we're incredibly light in that department.
Two decent wide players for more options.

GK and up top im fine with. Defence and wide/attacking midfield is where we need to look (not that I want rid of OHare..I think he's quality). Just need more goals from that part of the world.

You might be correct that’s the sisu policy but sell Hamer for example we then need two newbies for midfield whose combined wage would probably exceed Hamers.

Hamer & Ohare I can see going, locked into Waghorn Bidwell etc is poor waste of budget

LCB - JCS ideally
CB - a younger Fadz who isn’t as slow
LWB - Someone with a bit of dynamism and quality delivery
CM - Someone who can understudy Hamer
AM - Someone to push O’Hare and play in the box
ST - Someone to partner Godden or Györkeres

Spot on. Just need the funds. To be honest I think another reliable striker could have made the difference this year even without the others

LCB Agree
CB Also agree but no idea who. Would have said Osti but could be a bit hit and miss. Think we may keep Fadz but it will be a season too long for him at this level.
LWB Agree. We seem to keep on getting in loanees for this though.
CM I'm hoping Eccles can fill that spot.
AM Definitely agree. That failure to secure Twine or Patterson and get Bright in looks like it could have been the difference this season.
ST will only happen if we can offload one or both of Walker or Waghorn. If not it could see Gyokeres sold and I don't want that. Also hopefully Tavares may step up into that set up and offer us something different.

Just hope we can keep hold of the likes of o'hare, Gyok, Sheaf and hamer. Fear we'll lose one. Any more than that could be disastrous.

Harry Cornick as a Wagz replacement/Adebayo as a Gyok replacement. George Honeyman/Yan Dhanda as AM cover. Lots of available midfielders, can’t put a name on it, Billy Mitchell, Marlon Pack, Joe Ralls all available and even more. Harrison Burrows as Bidwell cover. Jake Clarke-Salter and Cameron Humphreys as a Fadz heir. These are all free options given they decline to sign a contract with their current clubs.

Will be happy if we can retain OHare, Hamer, Gyo, Hyam, Moore and maybe Rose. Then we need to add JCS. Not sure of Maatsen‘s contract situation, but would be nice to add him. Have to part ways with players we’ve loaned out in Jan along with Shipley, Jj, Waghorn, and Bidwell. Then make quality additions at the obvious places.

I doubt many players if any on new deals will be on more than our current highest paid players, I think the days of high five figure weekly wages below the Premiership are in the past.

Goalkeeping is decent
RWB Kane is ok and Dabo was ok but injured a lot so maybe an upgrade on one of them
LWB definitely need an upgrade Bidwell has been shocking so far
CB's Fadz has been great for the most part but last few games has looked sluggish, Hyam has done very well but his out ball is useless, Don't like the look of Rose and Robins don't use him that much so replace at least 2 and hope JCS signs
Midfield...lack of goals is killing our hopes, dominated a lot of games but lack of goals from our 'engine' is quite poor definitely need 1 new player preferably 2
Strikers Viktor has done well this season far above expectations so far and Godden (when fit) has got a decent return then Walker and lastly Waghorn haven't done well so a decent striker who can worry defences and take the pressure from Vik or Godden would be great and if Tavares is seen to have a future here by Robins he will be our 4th striker
and finally a new finishing coach for O'hare

looking to get rid of Shipley
Kane/Dabo
Bidwell although he will be around to haunt us for a few years but he really don't look the answer
Allen... too lightweight, runs around a lot but not really good enough
our foreign contingent of Hilsner etc
Jones will probably go because Robins is just not interested in using him

Instead of shopping in poundland we need to move onto waitrose but once again doubt we will get the backing of our owners although the crowds are up this year so we could potentially get a better budget than of late depending on where we are in the finance department

We have to balance expectations and reality.

We aren’t going to get millions from SISU to sign loads of players.

One thing I’d be doing right now is having a thorough look at all of the Chelsea youth / fringe players who may be available.

Many of the 20/21/22 year olds will have known Ady well and will be now within a Chelsea set up where a degree of uncertainty has set in.

Who will buy them? Will they be asset stripped? These are questions that will have crept into minds there from back room staff to players to agents.

Another year of Maatsen wouldn’t go amiss, JCS on a perm.

Billy Gilmour could be a marquee loan signing to pep the midfield.

I always thought Dujon Sterling looked ok.

Levi Colwill anyone?

Jude Spoonsup-Bell is a young striker worth a loan. Over 6 foot so might add a dimension.

Other than that we need to look to shift out as much deadwood as possible so that we’ve potential to get youngish players in to the squad to maximise development.

Waghorn - out if we can. He might come good but we need to have put his budget towards an Adebayo (Luton now, I mean whilst at Walsall) type player. Younger, bigger, sellable.

Fadz - pay as you play / low retainer plus apps.

Walker - think we might have to bite the bullet.

Jodi - he really needed a 3 month loan earlier in the season to L2/VNL imo.

Shipley - probably off.

Pask, Dacosta, Hilssner, etc. - thanks, bye. Shame about Pask. Thought he might make it as a CB / RCB.

Drysdale, Burroughs. - back, evaluate, possibly loan out again.

Cashman - no idea tbh.

We need to try to get another McAllum type gem rather than splurging on Waghorn type journeymen.

Need to clear as much deadwood as possible. Likes of Jones, Shipley, Pask etc.

See if we can raise some money by flogging someone like Hamer or Gyokeres and bring in 2 or 3 top end league one players who can also develop and eventually sell on.

I think we badly need some pace in the CB position. Caught out time after time by the faster teams.

Would like to see a goal scoring AM who will complement and compete with O'Hare.

Think we could do with a proper goal threat. Far too wasteful in front of goal.

I don't think we're too far away from being a top 6 team, I think we need to just generally up the quality of the squad and add a bit of depth to it. Once you go past the first 14 or so players, the quality of the squad dramatically reduces.

The Chelsea notion is good idea, not clear yet what could happen there those moronic idiots shouting Abramovic’s name during an applause for Ukraine might have more implications than they think. It will have been heard all over Europe and beyond.
