No you're missing the point here, it isn't that you're expecting someone to develop the surrounding land to sell it on for a profit it's to make other revenue streams available to the club. So for example the Arena could just have had the football stadium, no Hotel, no Jaguar Exhibition Hall and no Eon Lounge etc. However these things were developed so that the Arena would have revenue outside of the matches that are played in the stadium. ACL currently reinvest this in the Arena and don't take any money out in dividends. What ACL want to do so PWKH tells us is set out here

(My Bolding).

So what we need is for the administrator to find someone (maybe it's PH4 maybe it's someone else) who wants to buy CCFC ltd and then after that buy the charity share of ACL. What SISU do with CCFC Holdings is yet to be seen but as they don't seem keen to anyone at the moment we don't know what's going on.

Would be nice if Stuart asked someone from SISU/CCFC Holdings to come on the show on Monday and explain things to us. Especially why we have had 10 points deducted if the subsidiary had no connection to the playing side and where the Golden Share really is , (have they looked down the back of the sofa?) bet he doesn't get anyone though even if he asks nicely.

I'm not missing the point, I think you're missing mine. Ccfc are not developers. Development is a risky business and, if you get it wrong, can go horribly wrong. That's why I think it should be left to the specialists.

So what is the club meant to survive on? The current revenues from the Ricoh aren't enough, we've had that from an impeccable source in PWKH. Few clubs in this division make enough money to survive on through F&B, shirt and ticket sales alone where is the money to make up this shortfall each season going to come from? (and please don't say SISU)

Why is PWKH an impeccable source. His comment that players are paid too much tells me all I need to know about him.

You seem to be implying that the players aren't paid enough, is that correct?

You may have something against him (I don't know) but the fact he is an ACL director and will know what revenue ACL actually makes qualifies him in my eyes. So what's your solution to make our club sustainable, I'd love to know?

A £4.5m playing bill suggests that wages are NOT an issue at CCFC....

Is that an April fools joke?

Expecting your team to win all the time is just stupidity.

I do not condone name calling or threats on either side......... we are supposed to be on one side.......... CCFC's. Derogatory personal comments by fan or pundit or broadcaster might get you 2 minutes of fame but ultimately no long term respect, certainly doesn't get to the real issues.

Gave up listening to the "discussions" long ago, largely due to the errors of content/fact from those leading the discussions and the lack of what I would call investigative journalism, but also the dismissive comments made on all sides......... just my opinion to which I am entitled (and have acted upon). Fans need a place to vent their opinions, and some of it was welcome comedy..... but the phone in should be about the fans shouldn't it ? The actual match commentary I think is pretty good, and if i cant go very helpful.

The one thing media presenters on these shows need above all is reaction from those they are broadcasting to. seems to me to be mission accomplished so far.

So if you want to make a statement may I suggest that you use the off button on your radio during non playing times, resist the urge to call in, text, aim twitter at CWR/Linnell etc, or leave facebook messages to the show. It is your decision whether to listen etc and you know what to expect...... so ultimately up to you.

All this latest episode has done is to create further fractures in our Sky Blue world ...... it shouldnt be about Linnell, Foster or Eakin or whoever...... It should be all about the fans..... there is no phone in without them

Just my opinion

ACL director says players are paid too much ??..

ACL charge league 1 club 1.3 million rent ( in a league where average rent is 150k )

ACL wanted 22 million to sell catering revenue back to club ( based on ACLs own revenue calculatiosn, this would take 100+ years for the club just to recoup )

Maybe their directors should take a look in the mirror... or keep it zipped

We're lower mid-table in the third tier. I'm not sure how we can still justify pretending we're above any of this.

haha are you serious.. your questioning the rent amount ? the 1.3 million in rent has been confirmed by both sides on many occasions.. are you really trying to say thats not what we were being charged ???

as for the sale of F & B .. in writing question 20 in the ACL & CCFC interview.. down in black & white.. they even name the person who put it forward, the CEO of ACL.. actually i was wrong, it wasnt 22 million it was 24 million they were asking!!

20: Has the club ever tried to repurchase the additional income sources from ACL?
ACL: No – its policy to date is to demand these for nothing.
CCFC: Last year Daniel Gidney, the then CEO of ACL offered CCFC the full match day revenue streams for a one off payment of £24 million, this was dismissed out of hand [? – I don’t think this valuation could be substantiated]

and we currently sit around mid table in league 1..

I was questioning whether £150k was average league 1 rent, we have no proof of this.

Average league 1 stadium holds about 14k. Does the Ricoh fit this catagory?

F&B's have been sold to compass for a substantial amount. Should they now be forced to give these up for nothing?

Back on Topic .Don't think anyone needs the sack for not respecting the Clubs fans ,being Dismissive ,Superior,Arrogant ,unrepresentative ,Just Tune out and go with Free Radio for a day or a month or a year .

They may then get the message they're out of touch .

Overall the Beeb have been extremely unbalanced in their presentation of this Fiasco, under these apalling

Shysters in control of our club.

maybe be a bit more specific , rather than just a big question mark over the whole post would help then

average league 1 rent - http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/dec/12/coventry-city-rent-league-two

F & B - we are talking about ACL giving over their share in F & B revenue.. not Compass - compass have nothing to do with this, and would continue to make their margin regardless of who takes the rest

and i wish our stadium did hold14k.. at least it would lok 3/4 full most games!!! but that aside, even the average rent in championship is 290k.. i think the capcity there would suit your argument more, so id be happy to go with that then

Lets be careful - as it appears Mr Linnell is in a litigious mood.

TODAY I attempted to contact your radio show @ 17:51 29/03/13 - NO one picked up the phone!

I GENUINELY believed that you were paid by SISU for the after match experience in corporate section. I believed thism because I saw on your webpage (before you re-vamped) that what you said you did (as part of your self promotion). If I was wrong - I am wrong and have no probs retrtacting errors!

But Will YOU retract what you said when you called ANYONE who thought Andy Thorn should be sacked an idiot? The BBC staff noted at the time you did say that, it was unusual. Do you still believe they are idiots?

Also what do you mean by real sky blue fans? Because some don't follow the club in PRECISELY the same way as you does that make them false fans? Are people in the armed forces not real fans if they don't go to every game?

Will you retract that statement?

To be honest I have wasted far more effort on this guy than it is worth. I certainly don't hev to justify myself to this guy!

I did think maybe this £24m comment was a remark - and not everybody made remarks - at the end of a meeting made purely as a “goodbye” gesture and not as a sign of any "serious offer".

Now where would I have got that idea from....

SBT website said:
13: Did any of the ACL negotiating team believe heads of terms had been agreed on 9/01/2013?
ACL: Yes absolutely and would be prepared to swear on oath to that. This meeting was almost 4 hours long with adjournments into separate rooms, both parties concluded with a verbal agreement and a commitment to formalise within 48 hours, the meeting concluded with handshakes ratifying the agreement. At a meeting on 19 January 2013, the ACL representatives commenced by asking whether those representing CCFC, Fisher, Labovitch and Clarke had the authority to agree a deal, given that up to that throughout December and up to 7 January 2013, negotiations were directly with Joy Seppala, each CCFC Director stated they were empowered and would not need to refer any decision back to Ms Seppala. This was reiterated prior to commencement of the meeting dated 29 January 2013, and once again confirmed by the 3 CCFC representatives.

CCFC: No there were still major points such as the content of a new rent agreement needing to be clarified. Any handshakes – and not everybody shook hands - were purely as a “goodbye” gesture and not as a sign of “deal agreement”.

If anyone feels agrieved about Stuart Linnell just complain to the beeb if there's enough then it will be looked at, i listened to the phone in and it is quite clear Linnell snapped and i think he became unproffesional in his response. Will be interesting to see what happens today.
