I've been looking at a few of them, you can certainly see why they are pro footballers!

That's totally insane. Equivalent to a 1 hour 12 minute half marathon. As a footballer who has his training based on sharp sprints and quick recoveries and not endurance.

Imagine what he could do with specialised endurance training and with race day conditions - he'd have to be looking at below 1 hours and 5 minutes for a half marathon. In total awe to be honest.

Ponticelli has been out in my area. He’s rapido too. There’s plenty of us that do the route he’s running and he goes the opposite (harder) direction.

Liam Walsh ran further than that while scoring that goal against Rochdale
‘and that was with the ball at his feet ;)

What a goal that was Brylowes and at a key moment.

One of my top 2 goals of the season, only matched by Max's fantastic goal away - one of those perfect moments with Max coming back from a long term injury - and what a strike.

Yeh the Walsh goal was my fave goal of the season. Incredible and what a time to pull something individual out of the bag

1hr12 half marathon is indeed fantastic.

But whoever above suggested he could go and do 1hr05 in a race... That is a huge jump and I very much doubt it. You don't knock off almost 30secs/mile overnight...

Yep ‘definitely my 2 of the season ‘though we had several others that were
The end result of some absolutely sublime build up play.

That was me Travs! I did qualify that by saying that with specialised endurance training (i.e. over a period of time) and with the right race conditions on a flat course..... that 1.05 could be possible. So the suggestion was not that it was achievable tomorrow but that the potential was there.

Travs you sound like you do a bit of running yourself?

A friend who has Strava reckons this was set on a bike as there are big differences between 'moving time' and 'elapsed time' and a few sections where he's running at sub 3 minute miles. The only way to settle it is to get Travs to challenge him to a race tbh.
