Think I've saw multiple Cov fans every single year I go abroad. Makes me feel proud! Especially when I never see Forest, Southampton, Bolton shirts ect.

Also. Good mate of mine is a life long Stoke fan and has told me numerous times about how everyone under 30 in Stoke supported a top 4 side until they got promoted. It annoys him but says its good for the club so he puts up with it.

If we went up it would be the same story.

Any success and we would see an upturn in young fans. We already do have more than I would've thought geiven the fact we have had next to nothing to cheer about in so long!!

I always make a point of travelling in my City shirt on holiday because I know the undescribable feeling of seeing a City shirt outside of our City.

I was in Caister a few years ago, it was Haven I think. I was walking to the laundrette and a member of staff in his small van honked his horn and in a thick Norfolk accent shouted "Going Up This Year, Play Up Sky Blues"

That was awesome!!

A lot of our signings in the late 90's bought us quite a few fans abroard.

The padre when I was based at RAF Scampton was a City Fan.

Didn't do us any good though, another argument for atheism.

I was skiing this time last year and I found a little après ski bar that was showing the cov - qpr game. When we went 1-0 up Me and another random guy went mental. He lived in kenilworth and was working out there for the season.

There's a bar in Kanchanburi, just down from the Bridge over the River Kwai, that has the walls adorned with Cov flags and pictures.

Plenty of Cov live/lived out there and the Thai woman who owns the bar has done a little homage.

It's good to see.

I was on a connecting flight in Newark airport a couple years ago and spotted 2 Cov shirts in the queue with me, i felt obliged to say hello, at the embarrassment of my girlfriend.
Figured there wasnt a game that weekend so the few Cov supporters there are went on holiday.

Why do you think it's weird to say a Cov fan at a holiday resort?

Strangest for me: I was walking along in Portugal once and some old grey haired guy had the whole training tracksuit on - had the initials on it and everything "K D". I went over and spoke to him and asked him if he was a fan and he said he used to be and reckons he knew Oggy, Thorny, Harrison, etc. But everyone thinks they know someone at the club, so he was probably full of shit. Had a mega tan though...

I saw the same City fan in Barcelona, Benidorm and Gran Canaria - then I remembered he was a mate of mine and we had booked together.

I know this lad who I bumped into on two different holidays!

First bumped into him in Amsterdam, had a chat like, then a few years later seen him in Icmeler, Turkey, just walking past the canal but too far away to shout over and have chat
