I’m probably not renewing my ST next season for the first time in my adult life. I still get a buzz when Cov win but football as a sport has lost its magic really.

- The timewasting, which refs literally do nothing to stop.
- Fouls given for the slightest thing
- Players being absolute pussies.
- The possession based game which is effective but boring to watch (give me route one chaos and “stick it in the mixer” every time).
- The games all spread out at random times across the weekend (or even week)
- the gap between the prem and champ being so big that it’s almost impossible to stay up if we got there.
- The media training making every post match interview sound the same.

Either that or I’m just getting old, miserable and cynical.

Won't make the slightest bit of difference adding 2 seconds onto the existing rule. Most hold it for longer than 8 seconds anyway.

nope, this time the ref has to start counting after 3 seconds and if it is not release by the count of 5 it's a corner.

It's been trialled and it has speeded the game up

For the two weeks they apply it before quietly forgetting about it.

It's been suggested refs aren't upholding the current law because they think it's too harsh, why would two seconds extra makes all the difference?

I'm not saying it won't work if applied, but then the same is true of the current rule.

Wouldn’t he be counting the first three seconds anyway? So in effect the ref will count 8 seconds?

It's beyond me that professional referee's aren't doing due diligence on players/clubs before games.

Team A time wastes when leading
Player B holds shirts at corners
Player C is known to fake injuries
Goalkeepers D and E time waste on goal kicks, and ball in hand
Team F take long water breaks with tactical instructions
Player G is known for physical off the ball attacks

It's what I'd be doing if it was my job and I wanted to impress/improve.

It's almost like they don't care?!
