The one against O’hare? Clearly a foul. Dare I say he should’ve made more of it?

For balance, on the telly at least, it looked like Armstrong may have had a decent shout for a pen earlier on. Not quite so clear…

It’s a joke that you now get penalised for trying to stay on your feet and not go down early

Should’ve thrown himself to the floor, clearly that’s what refs expect. I said it at the time he would’ve got it if he didn’t try to stay up.

VAR gives that all day long . Callum is too quick for him and there is clear contact by the defender

Contact does not always mean a foul/pen.

It does when the player fouled has already beaten the defender

As I mentioned in my opinion I didn't think it was . Plus what's the point ,the game is finished and the next game is in its way.

If you say that, then what is the point of discussing anything on a forum.

The player slides in, gets none of the ball and then makes contact with Cal, impeding his next touch. How is that not a penalty?

How far into the match was it? I’ve been trying to find it on the match replay but because ‘nothing happened’ (no foul/card/etc) there’s not really a reference point.

Near the end of the half around 40 minutes in.
I’ve looked again and changed my view it was a foul, a penalty and consequently a sending off.
The Armstrong one was a fantastic tackle from Bidwell two or three seconds later would have been a pen and sending off.

Looked a foul and as others have said it probably would have been given if he'd gone down.

What about the Southampton claim in the first half, think it was Bidwell, that looked a possible penalty in real time?

Edit: covered in the post above

Why would it have been a sending off for the foul on O'hare?

In today's game it is, defender was nowhere near the ball and swiped his leg away.

Compared to what they get given for by VAR, it's assault!

It wouldn't, it was a genuine attempt for the ball, yellow card under the double jeopardy rules.

Good player that Smallbone. Rumour has it that the Milan free kick hit him so hard in the face that he grew eyebrows.

Do you need to be wearing rainbow laces to get a Stonewall penalty?

(I’ll see myself out)

So, so clearly a penalty. O'Hare is too honest. You have to stay down and appeal for that. Every other side would.

agree shouldnt need to but we are talking about a lino that had no idea who to give almost every throw in to, they need a bit of encouragement

Had a good view and in real time didn't think it was a pen.
Not so sure now but wouldn't say stonewaller.

I thought he got the ball in real time. From that it doesn’t look like it at all. Stonewall for me
