Rushworth 7 Supremely confident on the ball and organising the defence

MVE 7

Onyeka 7 Don’t let him shoot though
Grimes 8
Rudoni 8 MOTM

Esse 6
Wright 7 Excellent in the first half, faded in the second
EMC 8 Had that giant #40 on toast

Torp 6 Didn’t really know where he was playing

Simms 7 Doesn’t look fun to play against

Robbings 10 Changed it five times, surely a record

I would have said EMC 8 or higher first half, but he didn't do much in the second. As soon as they switched the centre half and took him away from the RB slot, EMC was a lot, lot quieter.

Have to disagree. He does what he normally does but cos we not leading it makes you feel like it's happening slower.

If anything torp was slow and reluctant to move up the field.
When grimes kept droppin into centre half (before we had kitching or thomas who would push higher ) we lost a pass into midfield . It meant we kept having to pass wide and turn back and pass back inside because there was no pass on .

Really frustrating and i find it odd that he started doing it once onyeka went off

There were a couple of occasions when both Grimes and Torp were in centre half positions at the same time and we had nothing In front of them

I see it as being patient and waiting for right time to advance up the pitch. Sometimes that's for vines to donwithab stride or a pass. Sometimes it's to get it through the finals and sometimes the CB do it as grimes has occupied strikers. I like the way we build.

Fair enough , if that keeper wins the challenge with simms and gets the ball up the pitch we are talking about a dreadful second half where we were far too passive and predictable .

Thankfull we got the rub of the green and we can call it patience

We wernt dreadful second half. Just not as good as first half. This happens in football sometimes.

I thought Esse had a very poor game. Several occasions where he lost the ball in tight spaces by trying to turn and beat a player with his first touch instead of recognising the situation around him and either playing an easy pass or putting himself between the ball and the defender to just retain the ball. That plus MVEs clear reluctance to rely on him providing cover meant that that side of the pitch was pretty inert until Tatsu came on. I’d drop him for the next game in favour of Sakamoto who provides much better balance and structure to the team, and is no less of an attacking threat than Esse going forwards.

Thought Thomas was poor on the ball, would say that for most of the back line TBH. Grimes looked a lot better than he has. Onyeka much better than last game. Rudi EMC and Wright excellent. Esse anonymous.

He's young. He has to learn he doesn't have to do 'skills' every time he gets the ball.
I think the last thing he needs to do is listen to Mike basset fans in attendance.

They said ayari wasn't any good remmeber!

In today's world we could have ronaldhino out there and people would mean when one backheel didn't come off

Shout out to Torp for that last grasp tackle.

Big win today and an injury time winner is a hell of a lot better than a three or four nil to me.

Dont even mind 8 out of the top 9 winning.

genuinely don’t see how so many people are giving Rudoni MOM, other than the goal I don’t think he was stand out, and definitely nowhere near as good as JDS, EMC, FTT….

he wasn’t bad, but there were a number of players far better

That’s what shocked me Robins always waited till it was too late to make substitutions when he was at cov

He was outstanding 1st half.
Not so good 2nd half, but popped up with the goal. 3 in 3, Jacks back!
