You know he desperately wants to beat Lampard and he's been done by 2 late goals now. His comments are horseshit though.

What exactly does “playing for corners and long throw ins” look like Mark?!

He can take second place in the queue behind Wagner’s lackey to sniff Lampard’s fingers after he lifts the league trophy.

Getting into attacking positions I would say, which we do constantly.

Baffled by some saying Stoke has better chances when they didn't have a single shot on goal.

I may be wrong but I don't think Mark Robins shook Frank's hand at the end of the game....also saw Frank tell someone to fuck off as has he walked off the pitch (after clapping our fans).
Mark Robins was great for us but I never lose sight of the fact he applied for the Stoke City job while still our manager.

I think you've just made that up!

It is amusing to find Stoke moaning about another team being effective from set pieces, given the best spell they've had in the last 50 years was built around such tactics. I imagine MR is probably also kicking himself that he didn't make the most of MVE's throw ins when he was managing him.

We mix it up and are pragmatic.

I also think that one of the ways that we've countered Rudoni being out is to go a bit more direct. It's worked.

I’m sorry but trying to make out were some long ball specialists with only the long throw up our sleeve is pretty sour from MR.

They barely lay a finger on us and we were solid and had some decent chances.

Today was classic Robins, slow to react and too
Passive from them.

How many pages would there be if you took out every comment with "cuck", "bedwetter", etc in them?

Surprised Robins was so bitter. As if BTA(?) deliberately left a boot in; as if we play looking only for set pieces.
Unnecessary.

If you mean “playing deep in the opposition half, leveraging tricky wingers to create width and hit the byline to stick balls in” - then yes Mark, you’re right, we do just play for corners and long throws

He was always a bit like that. But he was on our side so it didn’t matter.

It's the bit where he says "they've seen they can get results playing that way." Maybe he should have seen it then

Is winning throw ins and corners against the rules now? I love Mark, but it’s finding a way to win games away from usual style. Something we never really did on his watch…

Well as far as I know its never been reported anywhere, but feel free to post a link if it has. As such, if he had applied for the Stoke job the only people that would have known would have been MR and the Stoke owner, and not some random poster on a football messageboard.

Obviously I can't post a link, but I do know it's true...no worries and zero point in debating it tbh.

Disappointed with MR’s comments. Definitely some sour grapes from the manager who set his team up not to lose.
I thought better of him.

We could try and do what his side did and cram 10 players in front of the keeper I suppose.

Ultimately, I'm not surprised Mark is bitter. He's lost two us twice now.

Must have been horrid watching us celebrate with Frank like that.

It helps set Frank apart from Mark. He shows the passion and is one of us celebrating. It used to disappoint me when Mark would clap and walk off so quickly even after massive wins.

I was there today. Despite not creating many clear cut chances it was an incredibly dominant performance. Possession ,Territory , Energy & Skill was all Coventry.

The tone of this comment is not becoming of a former science teacher.
Even if it did make me chuckle.
