That's why we might need to shop abroad. Existing PL players (agents) will try and milk us. In Doug we trust (mostly!)Crikey. I think there is going to be a shock if we go up as to how big the wages we are going to chuck around are going to be.
We need 8 homegrown players in the 25 man squad, too. So we can't just go out into the European Market as some seem to be suggesting. We will need at least four with substantial or decent Premier League experience.
Bringing in players from Europe may mean it takes too long for them to settle. Especially as the first season up is probably the hardest to stay up.
Harry Wilson would be an unbelievable signing.
I think Trafford you could sign permenantly, although Im not a fan. The Ramsdale shout is betterOnyeka - Obligation
Rushworth or Trafford on loan if Rushworth stays at Brighton, Nick Pope out of contract
Ben Chillwell
Ryan Sessengnon - Apparently out of contract
Adam Webster/Ben Davies - Both out of contract
Might be pushing the realism - Raul Jiminez, Adama Traore?
Said as much in another thread along with Bowen if West Ham went down.Harry Wilson would be an unbelievable signing.
Unbelievable in the sense that it is not believable?Harry Wilson would be an unbelievable signing.
Webster is a good shout. Some of the names quoted are insane!
If we go up we are very likely going to struggle all season, I don't see us doing a Sunderland
Onyeka is guaranteed to join if we go up as that is part of the loan deal. We will be in the market for players of his ilk, players that have played in the Prem for mid-lower half teams and then have been pushed out due to them getting better year on year
It's likely that other than one or two we will have never heard of the players we will sign

£200k a week says noReturn of the Yok. For a fraction of the price Arsenal paid.
MountMason mount .. worked with frank before .. grafter .. not sure if hes 1st choice at united
(Probably out our wage budget anyway )
I thought i was being ridiculousMount
Loftus Cheek
Both good choices for our statement midfield signing.
Name some good realistic players thenMy two takes from this thread are thank god some people are not on the recruitment team and some people have unrealistic expectations of who we are going to sign if we go up
I don't know as it is not my job, if I knew all the answers I would be working for the clubName some good realistic players then
Thought not.I don't know as it is not my job, if I knew all the answers I would be working for the club
But people suggesting players like Loftus-Cheek and Harry Wilson are in for a major bump back down to earth
And people suggesting Sydie Peck and Jordan James like they are any more than half decent second division players don't realise the jump in level that is on the horizon
I don't think he ever plays again at a half decent levelFrank will end up trying to get dele alli playing again
Just wishful thinking I said ac99, I don't doubt for one minute the likes of Wilson et al would be snapped up by bigger and better clubs but there's no harm in dreaming.I don't know as it is not my job, if I knew all the answers I would be working for the club

Probably right , il be honest there is probably a level between unrealistic and over pessimistic which we will be able to attractI don't think he ever plays again at a half decent level
I would imagine we won't have heard of at least 50% of the players we end up bringing in.Probably right , il be honest there is probably a level between unrealistic and over pessimistic which we will be able to attract
Not the usual type of striker we have. He's only 5"11 isnt heQuite liked the look of Denkey went i went down a little Googling rabbit hole after we were linked. Maybe there is something in that.
To be fair, suggesting some players who are currently on probably £100k a week (Mount etc) is pointless, as it's never going to happen. That's why I think the European leagues, where wages are a lot less, is the logical way to go.Name some good realistic players then
