Just buying for the points?Believe it's 12,000 all standing. Grennan sold out 10,000 tickets but it was nowhere near as full in there compared to other venues you'd go.

This is what is really holding it back. Public transport links pathetic. If they could sort the railway station it would be a great venue for loads of events.
Your arse must sting all weekend!Coach and horses then five guys
Standard Friday
Definitely, for the first time it's the key focus of the people running it which will make a huge difference. The council didn't have the experts or time to make a proper go of it, Wasps was a doomed project from day one and I get the feeling Frasers probably always planned to flip it quite quickly.with the club and stadium never having been one thing, it doesn't make sense to me that anyone would point to the stadium in isolation failing to make money in the past as a reason this won't work.
ticket sales, exhibition hall use, F&B, hospitality, concerts and events in the bowl, rent from the casino etc. all flowing to the club for the first time. Has to be something we judge after a year or two's results, no?
Not sure where this idea that a stadium should be profit making has really come from. How many clubs end up with a profit from owning their stadium?with the club and stadium never having been one thing, it doesn't make sense to me that anyone would point to the stadium in isolation failing to make money in the past as a reason this won't work.

I think you are right and its something a few feel strongly about, the stadium would benefit greatly from improved transport links. This is what is really holding it back. Public transport links pathetic.

Must have been in local conversations over the last two 3yrs, can't see it changing now but it's like a sloth moving in reality.I think you are right and its something a few feel strongly about, the stadium would benefit greatly from improved transport links.
@Sky Blue Pete i will bring this up again when the time is right but this is something that really needs bringing up with King at your next gathering to see if he's having any conversations with the local politicians about this. We know that gimp at Blues wedged his nose into the arse of every local politician going to get his way, you can make the words nicer if you like but it would be good to know if King is doing the same.
I'm sure but it would be good to see King actively pushing it, I'm sure with all the good will at the moment he could gather a lot of public support which never hurts when leaning on politicians.Must have been in local conversations over the last two 3yrs, can't see it changing now but it's like a sloth moving in reality.
How many stadiums have what ours has? It isn't just a football pitch surrounded by seats. Not sure where this idea that a stadium should be profit making has really come from. How many clubs end up with a profit from owning their stadium?
One way or another a stadium is likely to be a cost, be it rent or maintenance. If the other parts of the stadium business means that cost is lower than it otherwise have been that's a win for me. Doesn't necessarily have to be in profit.
Its got a conference hall and a hotel, its far from uniqueHow many stadiums have what ours has? It isn't just a football pitch surrounded by seats.
King seems to think its something other clubs wish they had. If it ran and marketed properly they could make a lot of additional revenues on top of the existing football ones. Its got a conference hall and a hotel, its far from unique
From a quick Google search, in August 2019 Grosvenor casino signed a new 10 year lease to remain at the Arena. What's the deal with Casino, lost track of who is in there at the moment. I assume it's just rent we get from that?
Far from a money maker but reminds me of the early to mid 2000s when you could get 2 match tickets, a night in the room in the converted boxes overlooking the pitch. Breakfast and free drink in the casino at massive discount. I'm pretty sure it was £50

It's the British disease. Everyone knows there is a problem, solutions should be simple and realistic but never get addressed in a reasonable timescale.
