Stadium update (42 Viewers)

It doesn’t really because the club had no asset base and a 2 year licence so was worthless.

The financing doesn’t change the asset value as such
Thanks for that.

I struggle to see much distinction between company finance and sorcery tbh.

It's fine as it is. You've got to remember we only use it for 4-5 hours every fortnight, most of the punters are here for other events, hotel stays, conferences, etc.
Maybe they could change the name of it to something more , Coventry city

thats the problem, with where it is you're basically only ever going up there for an event.

you could look at making it a destination like the o2 with all the other things there but you really need the transport infrastructure to do that, not to mention it would cost tens if not hundreds of millions.

I do wonder if there’s been some kind of analysis of the site and surrounding area to figure out whether any additional opportunities. The industrial estate could have decent potential if you were going all-in (not that I think we will).

I've got a feeling it's run in house. Not sure there's a huge amount you can really change in that space but renaming it and making it something more like the tavern would be fairly easy to do and very welcome.

As it stands you’ve only really got the Anecdote where you can go for a pre-match drink if you have kids with you (either that or straight in the stadium). That’s what has always struck me about using the exhibition hall as a fan village - you’d likely get thousands in there with a massive screen and some food/drink vendors.

Feel very emotional too! On my dad’s last day he took his oxygen mask off and asked if there was any news about the “City” buying the stadium. This club means a lot to us all and has formed many a bond between father and son etc. We must never let this happen again and I for one will spend a few quid at the club shop etc to support the Skyblue ship and I hope people come on board even if they can’t get to the games just buy something to help the war chest.👊

We need to put together a Ricoh Arena Legends Day at half-time today. I want to see all the big names. Ken Dulieu. Leonard Brody. Les Reid. The guy with the sky blue coffin. The ghost of Mike McGinnity.

Some would say today isn't the day for opening old wounds and schadenfreude. It's a day of togetherness and reconciliation.

But I'm not one of them There is no better day than today to call out all the treacherous rats who turned on the club, fuck every one of them.
Reconciliation always the way

What a momentous moment for the football club. Similar to buying your own house, the possibilities are endless! Then reality sets in that this shit costs money. Small incremental improvements the name of the game, and excited for the match day experience to improve even more than it has already. In our coventry homes... PUSB
