I'd imagine that's his ultimate goal. But if he makes some cash and the club is in a good place, then everyone's a winner.
I think he'll still be here for a bit though. He's increase the value of the club exponentially over night, getting us up would rocket it even further so I think he'll hang around and see if we can achieve that in the next year or two
Next stadium sponsorship. Money will all come to us right?
Sounds a win for possible budgets in itself!
I wonder if in time the anecdote could become more of a traditional boozer? Feels too posh for me at the minute and maybe not many people use it if it became a standard pub?
Or maybe it's heaving every match day and I'm way off the mark I dunno

Steady onI may even sing his chant this afternoon...
Genuinely feeling very emotional right now. Never thought it would happen without premiership money, coupled with remembering all the shit we’ve been through to get to this point. It’s quite a day. Hat’s off to Doug, well done. An owner who has genuinely brought the club forward.
Whoever said the chief business officer woman from PSG came in to oversea this purchase and then find us suitable new owners, I think they may be bang on the money.
thats the problem, with where it is you're basically only ever going up there for an event. It's not that bad, the location means it's a bit awkward. Watched some games in there though and the food isn't bad.
Amazing news. Feels like the years of being a basket case club are finally behind us.

This is where I’m at.
Like if we got relegated now, it would be horrible, but at least we’d have a bloody stadium to play football in! Just seems like things can never be as bad as they once were, ever again.
First Doug buys the stadium, then Tony's posted on the football.Genuinely feeling very emotional right now. I've got a feeling it's run in house. Not sure there's a huge amount you can really change in that space but renaming it and making it something more like the tavern would be fairly easy to do and very welcome. When their rental deal runs out I'd be tapping up the owners of Sky Blue Tavern and Dhillions, they both run fantastic operations imo
You and the girl from Clapham?I never thought it would happen.
Things will take a dip on the pitch at some point, it's inevitable. But at least we won't end up in bloody Northampton!
Council are the lease holders. Now we can shut the doors on the council.

Freeholders but they granted a 250 year lease. Will be a long while before we need to worry about them twatsCouncil are the lease holders.
It was - I have a loose link to Nicola from her Villa days - but it was more of a speculative comment, given her experience/contacts. I had no idea anything was going to happen this quickly though. Was that you?!
Just would like a sky blue lick of paint and a new name which links to the club. It's fine as it is. You've got to remember we only use it for 4-5 hours every fortnight, most of the punters are here for other events, hotel stays, conferences, etc.
