Thought it could go on for years if it’s properly investigated?

Just think that this will ultimately hurt Wasps more than CCFC. They are the outsiders and whilst their initial PR in the city was effective I think that this will prove to be a disaster for them.

Read the comments on the clubs Facebook posts. We will lost a lot of fans (and income) over this. Ccfc will be hurt more than wasps

I don't know if they have other sponsorship deals, but Wasps no longer have Land Rover as their main shirt sponsor - that is Vodafone - boycott those useless cunts too, If you can

Yes, unless you're suggesting when the fixtures are published Coventry City won't be on there?

How did PSB Group go from meeting the Wasps bloke after protesting about them to saying they had done nothing wrong?

Interesting in the CCFC article

We have said previously and continue to state publicly and clearly, the Club’s willing intention to do a deal to stay at the Ricoh Arena. However, in order for a deal to be agreed between landlord and tenant, the conditions for the deal need to be deliverable by the tenant. What the landlord requested of CCFC’s owners and ultimately, the Club, was simply not deliverable. It can be argued that the landlord was fully aware of this.

We understand the strength of feeling in regard to a groundshare. We wholeheartedly share your feeling that Coventry City should play in Coventry. This decision was our last resort and was made to ensure the Club can fulfil its fixtures next season.

And then what? There is currently no legal action being taken by the owners so a change of ownership changes nothing.

It is for the EU to decide if they will investigate, nobody else has any power to influence that.

I didn’t go to Sixfields but those Wa*ps and council shits aren’t going to stop me watching my football team this time. I hope they go bust and the Ricoh rots. They can enjoy their City of Sport / City of Rugby under the darkest and most disgusting cloud. PUSB

I think it was always the council and wasps plan to get us out of the city while sisu are in charge. The worry now is they find another club to play in the Ricoh and we might find urself frozen out for more than one season sad day for ccfc

Only things would be indemnification, which I suppose they could do technically but would be crazy to do so, or stopping the EU complaint, which is impossible.

Still nowhere near enough anger directed towards wasps and ccc for my liking, fans can clearly see what they were asking off us, fans should see that if wasps and the council are found guilty that we would cover their costs, that's a guilty man's game right there, would put us under... Fucking scum, really hope they get it right up them

There won't be because people aren't bothered about facts or reading the statement. It's just a competition to be the angriest.

I have already been told by some fan I'm not a proper fan because I'm not as angry as him (note that he doesn't go, has pushed NOPM and boycotts also).

It is odd how much fuss is being made of the indemnity from the Wasps side. Their accounts clearly state that the legal advice they've had is that there is no case to answer. They must be confident in that especially following the rejection of two applications for Judicial Review into the sale.

In any case, like somebody points out above, their loss is directly related to the council's actions (and their own lack of due diligence into the ramifications should it be shown to be illegal, amazing if they hadn't done significant research into this considering JR1 was on the horizon in 2014). They cannot seriously hold CCFC or SISU responsible for that or expect them to indemnify Wasps of any losses.

I hope the local media grow a spine and report this as it they should, the out of town rugby club having got a rugby ground on the cheap, now expects its tenants to bail it out should the sale be judged as State Aid. Laugable. If SISU tried that tactic the press would be all over it.

I f***ing hate SISU, b**t***s, we are Coventry not bloody Birmingham B, well that is me completely out of any games at all next season. Once was a disaster, twice is totally unforgivable. SISU thanks for leaving such a stain on our club, now just f off !!

We should organise a boycott of any business who sponsors or invests in wasps.
Maybe we could convince local business people that it would be counter productive to be associated with them.

Gutted but will be going.
When the immediate dust settles, we really need to think of ways to pressure W*sps. It feels different to me this time (i.e. Northampton. which was 100% our owners' fault) and whilst I never went to Northampton, I'm going to get a season ticket regardless. I know there will be differing views apportioning balme, but I am suspicious of some posters who never post on any football related matters coming on here to blame it 100% on our owners (and I'm not a fan of them either).
I am interested to see what the differing parties say *apart from 'bound by confidentiality'
Particularly want to know what W*sps 'offered'

' A number of conditions have been placed on the Club to ensure progress is made in regard to finding a solution to getting the Club back playing in Coventry at the earliest opportunity including the payment of a £1m bond and a quarterly review in order for the Board to be updated on developments ahead of season 2020/21.

The EFL has also received an undertaking from the Club’s ownership that they will not put forward an application to the EFL Board to permanently relocate the Club to anywhere outside the Coventry area.'
