PC World is where everyone is nice to each other and doesn't tell racist, sexist or homophobic jokes about their ginger, fat mother in law.

Yeah but Brighton have a train station that serves the ground from the town centre. People get pissed in the town then jump on the train. You can’t expect people to get pissed in town then jump on the 21 from town and walk ten minutes from pc world

It would more like 20 minutes from the marina fish bar

Well there’s a bar within 10mins walk of the stadium and another 5 within another 10 mins. Oh and there’s a pub at Falmer.

I’m still trying to find out if the club will run coaches from Coventry, surely that would increase the number of people who’d buy season tickets. Latest reply;
Hello Brian

We are still waiting to hear ourselves as regards to matchday travel to St Andrews,

I am sure within the next week or so, we should have details regarding parking and any possible travel

Please keep an eye on the official website for updates

Kind regards

Instead of looking at the negatives ( and there many ) look at the positives of playing at St.Andrews - there are a lot of positives too.
1. A proper football stadium opposed to the soulless Ricoh.
2. A decent pitch to suit our style of football.
3. Much better transport links for those living outside Coventry.
4. A lot more pubs to visit.
5. Our club didn't go out of existence.
6. We have a brilliant manager with ambition.
My plea to all those who are refusing to go to St.Andrews ( and I respect your view even if mine differs ) is to please just try going to St.Andrews, put your differences to one side and give it a go ?

It's a pity for the fans but I couldn't be less bothered about playing at the Ricoh if I'm honest. After how Wasps have acted I'd rather play at St. Andrews than have any association with them in any shape or form.

That's a similar train of thought to the council fucking the club over to get one over on Sisu.

They demanded SISU sign a clause that made the clubs own employees liable for any costs incurred from the EC Complaint findings. They don't act in good faith and evidently don't want us there whilst under SISU as I reiterated long before St. Andrews was announced. So no I'd rather play at St. Andrews and see the club survive than put the club and its own employees at risk of bankruptcy and play at the Ricoh.

Yeah but if the clubs could agree some sort of compromise you'd still want us at brum? Obviously the conditions are unacceptable atm but they may change and hopefully wasps will go bust when the complaint comes back

Obviously i want to see the club back in Coventry. Ridiculous to suggest otherwise. But I physically can't see it to be honest. Call me negative but I just can't see Wasps backing down and playing nice. The complaint could take years to come back so at the moment I just don't see the benefit in discussing it as it's all completely hypothetical.

if we do come back - there will still be those who complain having to pay £90 more than those who have already signed up for Season Tickets

Ideally we’d be in Coventry, but it’s not going to happen. Once you accept that, the thought of St Andrews is actually quite exciting (in context).

I drove past the Ricoh yesterday and felt contempt. I hope it becomes a white elephant and an absolute embarrassment for the council.

I doubt any Coventry fan wants us to play outside of the City, but we are where we are. Let’s just enjoy the fact we have an incredibly exciting season ahead and those at St Andrews will see us play exciting, quick football on a good pitch.

If we do get promoted, it puts us in a stronger position and the whole situation becomes even more of a farce for the Council and Wasps. Couple that with a poor season on and off the pitch for Wasps, and a Ricoh return seems more likely.

I agree and have been in a similar mindset. Ideally our team would be playing in their own stadium in Coventry, but we're in a situation right now where that's not the case. Hopefully we'll ride it through and in time we'll get there, but being out of the Ricoh is - to me - a bit of a relief. I completely understand the disgust at playing outside of Coventry and being forced out of the stadium that at one point was basically "ours" because of almost childish disputes between owners, but saying that I've never liked the atmosphere there and in recent years it has only gotten worse. Wasps logos, closed stands, not even a fraction full in capacity... It felt a bit depressing going there to be honest. Contempt as you put it is a pretty spot on description. I'm excited about getting away from all that drama for a bit and focusing on the football. Yes it's in Birmingham but I feel that at least there, the team will be the most important thing, not the politics around it all.

The pitch was far worse than it looked I spoke to a former player after the legends day and he said that the pitch was awful
