Anyone followed this in the news last few weeks?

The geezer seems to be setting himself up as some kind of celebrity.

Screenshot_20190204-202711.png I can only see a video of his police interview.

Notice in the comments 'Alan Shearer' says he thinks it was an accident.

Can't be THE Alan Shearer surely?

Manslaughter by gross negligence. The boat was in poor condition, and he just let her take the controls with no instruction. She lost control and smacked into a bridge pier. He's a c**t! Get him back here and let justice be served!

Apparently he let her take control didn't he?

Both drinking and the boat driven at high speed.

What’s that got to do with anything?

IIRC a video was taken on her phone where she was shouting at him to slow down.

Why would he go.on the run if innocent of all charges?

What are you wittering on about? I was not making a point, or offering a stance. Nick just asked what had happened and that is the very basics of the incident.

I would assume he knew of what followed and his absconding.

Indeed.

I was not aware of the phone footage, or else I would have mentioned it.

I don't think he has much of a defence at all does he?

I didn't follow the case, so only know the very basics.

Hence the question mark in the first sentence.

He has already been convicted of manslaughter hasn't he. He will surely get extra time for fleeing the country.

I wasn’t aware of the footage either.

His defence barrister in the extradition hearing in Georgia was saying that he shouldn't be extradited to UK because what he was found guilty of isn't an offence in Georgia!
Bizarre way to manage justice!
