It has one or two 'cheesy' moments, but overall it's a decent sci-fi/action crossover that actually held my attention for the duration. Excellent acting too, and a very good script.

Netflix Originals are knocking it out of the park at the moment. Just watched Designated Survivor and that's awesome, just started Beyond at that's good as well.
Apparently they were outbidding everyone at the film festivals but no one wants to sell to them because they won't release in cinemas.

Speaking of Netflix Originals. Has anyone watched Dirk Gentley yet? Love the books but wasn't sure when it was announced as being made in the US. Haven't watched it yet but been hearing good things.

I know what you mean, it wasn't a cinematic blockbuster, but it was just pure entertainment coupled with a script that wasn't cack, which a lot of sci-fi tends to be.
Just do what I did, regarding the female of the house; smudge marmite up her arse crack whilst she's asleep, nudge her to wake her up, then pretend to be asleep and enjoy the show.
