Cheerleaders are on now. They have already moved more than Westbrooke

I can't be the only one who thinks that wasn't bad?

72% possession and some good chances, in difficult conditions.

I think we're doing OK and will win the game.

Nah that was decent.

Wind behind us in the second half but it just looks like we're waiting for them to make a mistake. Godden has been a passenger it has to be said

Can't remember the last time we made decent contact with a header from a corner. Do think that is one area we could still significantly improve in, especially with 3 CBs on the pitch.

It must be the deliveries, because I’m sure Rose scored a fair few in Scotland.

Looking at our team, aside from the centre backs, we do not really have any height in our team.

Completely agree with you, being good at set-pieces is useful breaking the deadlock against teams who’ll set up 10 men behind the ball.

Southend lost more games than anyone else, conceeded more goals than anyone else, so obviously 0-0 at half time.

Poor half

We've hit the woodwork twice and not allowed the home side a shot on target while dominating possession in horrible conditions. Think you could use some perspective.

Our corners are usually floated it.

We rarely test the keeper from them.

usual twatish comments as predicted come out if we don't score in first half, we will win this game so stop being twatish

The fact they were 0-0 at half time at PBoro like Clive says ... if we bag one they could crumble.
Have to say our pressing of them when they have the ball is really impressive.... I don’t always appreciate that side of our game when I am watching from the stand.

Yep, give it 20 minutes to see if it opens up.

Their keeper and defence look scared but we arent really pressuring them that much.

Step it up a gear and they wont want it.

Get Giles and Baka on, they’re happy for a draw here so we need to be getting the ball forward quickly. There’s a goal there but then there’s always a goal at our end it seems.

Was a decent enough first half given the conditions. Southend need the points and are playing like it (didn't think they were playing for a draw) but with our passing and the conditions in our favour 2nd half, I think we'll be fine.

These drew 1-1 with Rotherham the other week. Anything other than a win will naturally be disappointing but it's not a walkover. Still think we'll do it.

McCallum was lucky not to catch their man in the box and we've been sloppy with possession in our own third a number of times. If they have chances it's because we've given it them. Tightened up since the first 20 minutes though.

With the amount of possession we have and our movement, I think Southend will tire and in the last 15 minutes more chances will open up for us.

Again I have to question how sharp Godden is, thought he looked sluggish getting on the end of the ball slipped through from Shipley.

Decent half all in all

“A draw will be good enough”. I’ll never ever understand that attitude. It’ll be the same people at the end of the season complaining that it’s the draws that haunt us.

Give it a bit to see how the wind is affecting the game then consider Max or Baka for Zain IMO. McCallum been a bit poor but with Dabo's orange card reluctant to use a sub to bring Giles on atm.

Can see him bringing Westbrooke off soon, it seems to be breaking down in attack when he gets it.
