But we didn’t lose 5-0 against PL opposition, we lost with enough chances to win the game , down to one fat useless lump upfront who couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo. The performance bar one player was fantastic

If you’re going to blame people all the attacking players had things they ought to have done better.

But I’m not slagging them for the complete lack of help from the owners to add just one quality in the area we obviously need it. We fought bloody hard today and got robbed by a side with about a dozen times our turnover.

Gyokeres is our best striker by a mile. Completely occupied a premier league defence for 70 minutes today.

Individually both Armstrongs and Walcott cost more than our side, there may be others

edit - and Walker Peters

Tale of our season so far-could’ve snatched a draw or even a win if we’d have taken our chances.

Incredibly proud of our players-despite the missed chances.

We only a couple of players short of a very good team and fingers crossed to a good summer recruitment.

1 more thing-SBA were fuckin immense as they always are and represented out club as always in an outstanding way.

Unfortunately a lot of regular home and away attendes missed out on tickets thanks to the rediculous rule of allowing two tickets per st holder which resulted in a load of day trippers getting tickets.
Our local pub landlord got a ticket from a ST holder. He hasnt been to a game all season. Role on the club bring in some proper allocation of tickets

Maybe first half. But I can’t forget nearly an entire second half of sustained pressure and us not knowing what to do.

They created very little clear cut for a good 2 hours. Really felt for our lads today.

Thar shows us as having a better expected goals xg
Look at where most of their shots were from compared to ours.
We did have much the better chances.

We are genuinely one or two quality attacking players from battering these sides.

Makes it even more frustrating. We are like half a side at the minute. So much is good but outside of the strikers you wouldn't back one of them to score. Between now and the end of the season I'd be amazed if we score more than one goal maybe three times. Honestly can't see who will contribute any goals.

I said to myself today, as long as we don't get battered I'll be proud and happy.

I am proud. I'm happy but I can't help but feel this is us in a nutshell.

Waghorn could have had 4. Just with a cushioned free header back. It's just us this season. All the plaudits, no prizes.

We have to rest for Tuesday now. We're gonna be out on our feet. This is where the squad plays a part

Lots of possession for them but they didn’t carve much out with it in my view

The fact you of all people are bothered about a bit of swearing when you wanted to fight people is laughable

I'm not bothered by it, I'm just pointing out that you chasing the moral high ground is a bit rich.

It is you here screaming and shouting, and it was you last time windmilling on match threads calling people clueless cunts, only to apologise the next day because you were drunk.

The match thread is live emotion at the time of the game, and I expect some riff raff as a result of it. We are all emotionally invested in this club and all guilty of it at times. Just please don't come on here trying to claim you are above people because of an opinion on the game and then swear at people before pointing the figure elsewhere.

Not that disheartened. We took a PL team all the way. Need to put our chances away though, still.

A bit pissed off by the latest flag I’ve ever seen.

You deserved at least penalties today.

I hate it when Saints play a top 4 side and numpty pundits say our grabbing the odd win means the opposition 'had an off day'. It's like good defending isn't a footy skill or something.
You were very well organised and at times in the match outplayed us. But we had some good Willy protection at the end there.

Team and fans were a credit to Coventry today, good luck for the rest of the season

That's fine. I have no issue in accepting I get carried away during or shortly after a game, but I'll always try my best to resolve it if there has been a disagreement and I'm responsible.

How poor was Adam Armstrong? Genuinely think he'd struggle to get in our starting 11.

TBH that makes it worse. Put your flag up.

A little bit of a VAR taste then. Let fans celebrate then take it away.

Great performance, but after they scored I didn't think it would be our day. Shame about the offside goal too right at the death.

Their fans were fucking stupid especially that fat twat on the red coat. Sick of hearing "when the saints go marching in".
