Me neither. Beat Ipswich on the 29th and I’m fully convinced we’re champions elect.

It’s funny, in our ‘rough patch’, the lead at the top has gone from a 10 point lead to 6 points…

Also, the Hellberg bubble is potentially burst after 5 games. Sure, they’ll do well at home on Boxing Day and the 29th hit their run rate won’t surpass us over 10+ games imo.

And tbh the 11 point cushion to 3rd which is the real one for me, who is making that up over 24 games?

This isn't the first time we've had people ill this season is it, or am I misremembering?

Might not be the worst idea for the club to start doing flu and covid tests and isolate people where needed.
Earlier it was the shits, looks like the flu this time.
Just got to hope our opponents over Christmas are in the same boat.

My thought is. 40 points from 24 games for us which would be a downturn compared to 48 in 22 still gives us 88 points. That means even the closest to 2nd would need 52 points. Seems a big big ask
Spot on, don’t have to beat Swansea, but to be on 51 points halfway is brilliant, we‘ll have played everyone and got the top teams left at home and if we beat Ipswich then brilliant, just keep that gap to 3rd, agree with you, can’t see a team going on a good enough run to get 52 points, at least 17 wins out of 23, nearest below 2nd have only won 10, it’s hard not to think we’ll do it

From here 12 wins 4 draws and 7 defeats which would be fairly unspectacular and well within the capability of this team

Trying not to think about what we need too much but you can’t help it 😂 agreed, it would have to be some drop off for that to happen, can’t see it, not getting too carried away just yet but this has to be the season, and we couldn’t have a better manager to get us through it,

I love the entitled outrage of football fans who can scream blue murder at a manager for two hours and call him every offensive name under the sun but as soon as he sarcastically gives them a thumbs up their legs give way and they start dialling 999.
Cantona anyone?

OK, so what's the plan for Left Back? Lampard needs the brains trust here. Bidders? Brau? Or switch to 3/5 at the back? Home vs Swansea we'd stick with 4, surely, so which player?

Just checking, we are top at Christmas and we will still be top into the new year.
(unless Boro can overhaul our vastly superior goal difference). ;)

I'd like to ask their manager how we managed to score, if this is the case:

"it's a good team and we managed to play the whole game in their half".
The whole 2nd half, yes. 1st we were undoubtedly the better team so this Eckert is delusional to say otherwise. His bubble will burst imo.

Haji was 1 v 1 with the keeper and didn’t even get a shot off!

Our squad mentality is just so far past anything we have seen before. No way we dont do this now.
I agree, it doesn't even seem to matter who plays all that much atm. To an extent of course. The teams mentality matches that of the manager.
