Me neither. Beat Ipswich on the 29th and I’m fully convinced we’re champions elect.

It’s funny, in our ‘rough patch’, the lead at the top has gone from a 10 point lead to 6 points…

Also, the Hellberg bubble is potentially burst after 5 games. Sure, they’ll do well at home on Boxing Day and the 29th hit their run rate won’t surpass us over 10+ games imo.

And tbh the 11 point cushion to 3rd which is the real one for me, who is making that up over 24 games?

Not many, Ipswich will break into the Top 2 imo but is their run rate better than ours for the rest of the season? Probably not.

My thought is. 40 points from 24 games for us which would be a downturn compared to 48 in 22 still gives us 88 points. That means even the closest to 2nd would need 52 points. Seems a big big ask

After picking up a lot of points this season by playing sublime attacking football it’s good to see that we can also grind out gritty performances when required.

Well done lads

This isn't the first time we've had people ill this season is it, or am I misremembering?

Might not be the worst idea for the club to start doing flu and covid tests and isolate people where needed.

Earlier it was the shits, looks like the flu this time.
Just got to hope our opponents over Christmas are in the same boat.

Spot on, don’t have to beat Swansea, but to be on 51 points halfway is brilliant, we‘ll have played everyone and got the top teams left at home and if we beat Ipswich then brilliant, just keep that gap to 3rd, agree with you, can’t see a team going on a good enough run to get 52 points, at least 17 wins out of 23, nearest below 2nd have only won 10, it’s hard not to think we’ll do it

Which players for us are going to get suspended then for brawling?
Millwall v Bristol will set the precedent.
Edwards I'm sure will be banished to the stands.

From here 12 wins 4 draws and 7 defeats which would be fairly unspectacular and well within the capability of this team

Trying not to think about what we need too much but you can’t help it agreed, it would have to be some drop off for that to happen, can’t see it, not getting too carried away just yet but this has to be the season, and we couldn’t have a better manager to get us through it,

Things like this fire up and motivate the squad more than winning 1-0 than coming with the 3 points.

It shows to the squad and the fans how together the squad is.

They will be absolutely full of adrenaline on that bus back

I love the entitled outrage of football fans who can scream blue murder at a manager for two hours and call him every offensive name under the sun but as soon as he sarcastically gives them a thumbs up their legs give way and they start dialling 999.

Just such a strange thing for a team irrelevant to to either players to sing.

Woeful home support.

Didn't our fans sing a similar song to the Stoke player. You're just a shit Sakamoto.

I have cold showers every day and notice get less colds than I used too.

Not saying that it's replacement for a jab before anyone kicks off lol

But give cold showers a go in morning for sure!

It will be 3. Straight red and violent conduct. A terrible challenge. How the lads leg isn’t broken I don’t know. Absolutely no need to fly in like that.

Slight over reaction .
It was mistimed and late , he had won a lot of tackles first half doing exactly the same thing

OK, so what's the plan for Left Back? Lampard needs the brains trust here. Bidders? Brau? Or switch to 3/5 at the back? Home vs Swansea we'd stick with 4, surely, so which player?

Just checking, we are top at Christmas and we will still be top into the new year.
(unless Boro can overhaul our vastly superior goal difference).

The whole 2nd half, yes. 1st we were undoubtedly the better team so this Eckert is delusional to say otherwise. His bubble will burst imo.

Haji was 1 v 1 with the keeper and didn’t even get a shot off!
