Pressley is understood to be talking to a number of wide players, two strikers and a centre-half, while it’s believed that he has also targeted Brentford’s defensive midfielder Toumani Diagouraga.

That'd do me, 2 wingers, 2 strikers, a CB and a CM (and a goalie). Still need a couple of wingers to come through or some back-up though.

What decent player will sign for City with a low wage structure & playing in front of 2,000 at a 4th div. stadium ?

I agree that it will be very hard to get players in with our low budget and stadium situation,we wouldn't have this problem at the ricoh, but it is what it is,but I do do agree it's impossible to attract 'good or decent' players, especially those looking for a way back to football,1st team football or those who are looking for a new club, there is still hope !!! #PUSB !!!

Trouble is we are not gaining players just replacing the ones leaving Murphy, Christie, Moussa and possibly Wilson all provern at division 3 level but will they be replaced with players as good or better has to be doubtful. Then there is Blair Adams who has been told he can go apparently.

I think we will replace the players leaving with good enough to compete high up in league 1 players,I don't think we will sell Wilson, because he is our squad builder,we physically need him.and where have you heard Blair Adams has been told he can leave ?? !!! #PUSB !!!

Marshall yes, didn't see Prutton play, liked him in the past but I don't know how he did for us. I'm all about pacey wingers though and I'm not sure he's that.

Marshall never gives up,can use both feet, and is quite pacey but can loose out in some crucial times but he is a good little player, prutton is a holding midfielder, put on the pitch to stop the opponent and put some tackles,I've seen more good than bad in him just needs to work on his vision and passing, but he is good at what he is put on the pitch to do.He does well in winning the ball back which is a player we lack so in my eyes he would be a good Signing along with Marshall !!! #PUSB !!!

To be fair, the stadium is being expanded as we speak. 10,000 all seater next season. Mind you that wouldn't sell out even if Cobblers and Cov fans combined.

Some swanky new conference facilities though if you need a business meeting in the Northampton area...

I think Prutton is history, that is why this guy Toumani Diagouraga is being mentioned..

We do need a couple of midfielders, one to replace Thomas and another to push Fleck. Then we need 2 or 3 of those pacey wingers I was on about.

I don't know why people think we won't get people in. Look at last season. Leon Clarke joins us and we sell him after six months for 750,000. We brought in quite a few good players and if wasn't for the 10 point deduction would have done better.
If you were a player wanting to play football why not come to Cov? Get £3000 a month or more, that's £36,000 a year for a 20ish 30ish guy is not bad, AND if you do well you can move on if our club doesn't change their situation.
I think some people. including people on here, actually want us to fail as a club, why? We are NOT SISU. They own the paperwork for the club but they don't own the heart.
I hate all the parties involved in the politics of our current plight BUT I will never turn again the guys on the field of play.
I hope SP brings us in some quality and we push for promotion. There is a damn sight more chance of us being able to find a new buyer if we ar a successful club winning promotion then a club going down.

Don't put words into my mouth.

I do not think Barton is not going to appear again and I've never seen Daniels play, so I've no idea about his qualities.,. if CCFC played in Coventry I would have a view.

But you disagreed with me saying "if you say so" in a sarcastic manor, insinuating that the players at the club already are good enough to support the starting centre mids !!! #PUSB !!!

Did we?

Manset, Webster, Urquhart, Slager, Seaborne, Marshall

Those were our permanent signings, half of them never played, 2 of them only arrived later in the season, and one of them has left already.

Clarke was here for a year, he was a Robins signing last January.

Those who saw Slager against Barnsley beg to differ that he played for us!

Hands up, I forgot Slager got a game. The point was only Webster was a decent signing made last summer (and some would argue about that, but he did play a significant amount of games).
