Turns out the lad spat at the other and got a whack during the non league game. I don't condone hitting somebody from behind at all, although I also don't condone spitting at people.

It is interesting that the original report had no mention of "why" the player got a whack. Just shows there are always 2 sides to a story.

A footballer whose jaw was broken during sickening pitch violence has himself been banned – for spitting during the same game.

He spat at somebody and got a whack. Not sure why people are so outraged that he is being punished also, dirty bastard.
