Gaz... astute... honestly your posts are written in a really agresive manner. If they are meant to be psarchastic or remotely funny you both fail miserably. Its just my opinion about hoffman its not an attack. .. you don't have to valliantly defend him. I mean do you love him or something?

Can I remind you both of something that seems not to have crossed your minds. .. hoffman was part of the regime at the club who spectacularly failed in his role to bring on investent. He failed in his job.

He is a banker. Any more need saying? Well yes, the real money men don't faff about. They simply walk in there's your offer ... 40 million for the lot you have 7 days to sell.

Hoffman is taking the p. He wants it all for nothing. Well maybe you want to go back and look at the quotes by hoffman re the finances of the club when that was his role.

Astute I blame all parties for this debacle. . Especially the fans for staying away and bleeding the the club dry of income. . I'm one of them.

I also blame thorn. Sisu. Acl. The council. Higgs. And everyone associated to the disaster that is coventry city football club.

Out of everything though I feel sorry that sisu are being blamestorming for absolutely everyting when in reality the managers. The players and ranson were as much to blame.

I've watched you astute your pretty much a know all on this forum. Nothing worse than a big head know all matey

I'm pleased you realise that the council are not exclusively to blame here! Took long enough...

Oh dear, is that the best you can come up with ?

I mean ..... really ?

Because I don't see fit to slate a fellow fan who is trying to help our club, that means I love him or something ?

If my posts are 'agresive' then yours sir are childish and very poorly thought out ;)

Oh and thanks for educating me that hoffman was part of the regime at the club who spectacularly failed in his role to bring in investent.
Remind me though, is this the same Hoffman who has found investment for the club, but can't make it work because sisu want X for the club when really it's only worth Y. ?

Tims have you got the world is against you mentality ?
It seems you have managed to blame everyone but yourself for the clubs demise.
You seem very familiar with your views and negativity I see you have only been on here less than a month are you a previously banned member by any chance? Or were you banned from the CET forum ?

I want to buy your house off you. I offer you what it is worth. Maybe a little more. You decide you want much more than what it is valued or what anyone would give you for it. So who is deluded. Is it me who refuses to pay well over the value or you for trying to get me to pay multiples of it's true value?

Yes money talks. Greed shows. They are with us to make money, not lose it.

BTW who shall we blame next?

A non aggresive post I would say

A big head know all? I put it in simple terms for pepole that don't understand. Something is only worth what it's value is. The value of a larger collective item can be found by adding the value of separate items, or in the case of a going concern the profits it makes. Our club does not make a profit. It makes a big loss. This means as we have a lack of assets and are loss making whilst owing a lot of money in loans oir value is very low. Are you still following? Again, not being aggressive. Just being realistic. You ought to try it some time thorn.

You seem to be carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. Mellow out. Sit back. Take a deep breath and look at things again.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words for those that spoke up for me. I always try to be calm, but the moment can get the better of me at times ;-)

NLHWC It's nothing to do with anger. For heavens sake there's enough of it spewed on here every day to fill sack loads and sell it. Maybe that will help the club!

Why anger at SISU? For the past or the present? Will it get us anywhere?
Look they have made mistakes but they are the only option we have and instead of driving the nail in further which will only result in the extinguishing of our fine football club we need to direct all this energy to forward looking solutions and ideas.

Hoffman you say? Well I guess if you must have 'anger' then send it his way because all he has done is promise hot air. He has stated he and his 'investors' have withdrawn from the scene and there has been no formal offer ever! Go figure.

When everyone is done with their 'anger' please start thinking positively and clearly about the real alternatives we have left for the survival of this football club and all suggestions will be welcome by me and I'm sure many others.

If anonimity of investors is the "Done thing" in business talks, why did SISU publicize names?
I believe Hoffmans' investors had the right to not wanting their names be broadcast. So, imo, Hoffman and his investors should not be vilified in the way they are.
Any anger whatsoever, should be aimed at SISU!

At least Gary is a supporter, we see him at almost every away game.
He always comes over a true Gentleman, never spoken to him about a buy out only about the football team.

Do what you can Gary but either way keep the faith and see you at Walsall lol

Because I don't see fit to slate a fellow fan who is trying to help our club,

On a slightly different note....is it just me, or did anyone else see Hoffman 3 years ago.

I mean, I've been travelling since the 80s and I can't ever remember seeing him before a couple of years ago.....

Don't get me wrong, he's a nice bloke and at least trying to do something....but all this 'fan' stuff....how much of a 'fan' is he, if he wants to claim this ground as another reason for our support?:thinking about:

Now I've never met GH and can claim no knowledge of his support but,

a serious question.....

if it was shown to you that he's been a regular fan for (let's say) 20 years, would it change your mind at all or would you just move on to a different angle to "question his motives"?

No not really, just trying to quantify 'he's a fan' argument which is used to support him...when little seems to be happening.

For the record, I hope he succeeds and am willing to give him time as he is the ONLY show in town....

I was going to write my response to this but then I read Tommy's post and thought the last part answered it perfectly.

Is it at all possible that you just didn't remember his face because he wasn't famous then?
Do you remember seeing Sid & Doris Bonkers at games now?

I agree and have no issue with Hoff, gaz.

I just don't like the 'he's one of us' when it comes to the takeover.

He is a broker...trying to get a deal sorted (rather unsuccessfully). It is not his own money...it just seems that he has contacts with investors (possibly not too dissimilar to SISU.....who want a return on their money).

To be fair to GH, he did say to me that although he has other things to do, he is doing this because he fears for/cares about the club.

I just like to separate the business/fan aspect of the whole discussion....he may be a fan, but he also has to see our club as a business, and who knows, he may be responsible for putting us in the hands of people worse than SISU (if this is possible???).

I'm just a tad wary that's all...heard all the bullshit in 2007.....:thinking about:

I won't be swayed because he's been seen on the terraces in the last 2 seasons....;)

Hoffman had a season ticket 2 rows in front of me with his brother Martin and a couple of other lads in the old West Stand at Highfield Road for years in the 1990's.

Fair play to the Hoff.

I have also met him, and don't think that he has any dubious motives....not sure I can safely say the same for his orange sidekick.....:thinking about:

Ha ha god no Joe Elliot
t,he's still working with hoff and the club to sort something out he's passionate about coventry and all what may have happened in past years are irrelevant as can't be changed but going forward we should try a unite for the future and good of our belovedclub rather than constantly pointing fingers of blame
