SSN Comment: We are hearing Bradford are tracking Dagenham & Redbridge forward Rhys Murphy as they look to bring in a replacement for Nahki Wells. Former Arsenal trainee Murphy has impressed at Dagenham this season, scoring 12 goals and Bradford are now weighing up a move for the Republic of Ireland Under 21 international. Coventry City are also in the race to sign Murphy as they look to bring in striking reinforcements.

we don't need another young player and he isn't the grade in my opinion. Hope bradford get him

He has consistently scored goals for England and Ireland u21s and scored a fair few in his first pro season in Holland. Remember we have Wilson out and this guy might be worth a punt. We are light up front with just Denzel at the moment who isn't ready for the 1st team.

Won't get any player that requires a transfer fee of £100k or more, most likely option is a loan signing.

Out of intrest who would welcome marlon back ?
And could we afford him ?
I wudnt say no. Offer him leons wages, he is a free agent, mite take it. Gives pressley til the summer then to look for a good young hungry replacement.

After he fucked us over last time added to his criminal history, how could you welcome someone like that back? I'd rather see an academy player up front.

Can say with 100% conviction that King will be nowhere on Pressleys radar!

If Marlon comes back how many more won't go to Sixfields in protest?

Wouldn't make any difference.

If they won't protest after having their club moved, constantly being bullshitted to and everything else that has gone on will they protest about us signing a striker when we don't have a fit one?

Of course they would. Football fans are hardly known for their moral stance

Marlon would be an awful signing ...and people thought mcsheferrys legs were gone ..this is just the sort of signing that got us into so much trouble in the past ...

Agreed the same goes for Phillips we can't afford to carry anyone. We need someone hungry it doesn't matter if they don't have experience.

Peterborough have made £12m from taking lower league players and selling them on, mainly strikers. Is Murphy on Barry's radar, if he's any good?
