Do you think a buyer would prefer coventry city over a team with it's own stadium then or buy ccfc on the off chance they might be able to get a bit of land?

Do people really think we are attractive to potential buyers as we are? Even without the SISU debt?

Do you not think all parties would need to look back, to learn from it, to move forward? OR is it just when somebody has a dig at Wasps you don't like it?

Oh please!

You don't drive the tone of the forum but for absolutely no reason add Wasps into the amended reply.

What about the threads I haven't posted in?

So are you saying I am not allowed an opinion or to post freely? Coming from the guy getting touchy because people didn't wasps fans posting on here because it wasn't against the rules?

Yeah I just had a look through your posts...

Good job the tone of the forum isn't football at the minute.

I am all for moving forward, but when people come on just to try and not let anybody say anything nasty about Wasps or the Council and just keep saying "move on".

We need to learn from the past to move on, I'd love nothing more than new owners, new council and a fresh start. Everybody would still need to look back to learn from it.

Edit : Even with new everything, things that have happened in the past are still going to cause issues for years to come.

Yep, this type of reply is really really productive. Exactly what the situation. Good work 

Why as the owner/admin of this forum are you so quick in dragging every post into the same downwards spiral?

Do you think continually looking backwards is going to assist moving things forward for CCFC and the fans?

The tone of this forum is driven by you and I'm totally unable to understand what you hope to achieve by it?

Hear hear ! Absolutely spot on !! As a relative new- ish poster on here , all I ever see is , admins arguing with posters , the usual posters being sarcastic , posters thinking their comedic witticism is funny [ when it's actually grating ] Maybe they do it because replies look good for the forum ? they can't get arguments at home ?? it gives them a self imposed importance in life ??? I've really no idea why this happens . all i know is , long term , it'll lead to the demise of this Forum. I bet there are very few people who post now , due to arguments. I'm sure they just read and think , sod that. the forum needs to change or it will implode , just like GMK did .

Are you on the wrong account? You have been signed up for nearly 3 years.

Still waiting for you to provide evidence about some of your previous accusations.

You come on here and throw stuff about and wonder why you get asked for proof?

Edit: Very interesting that a guy who runs a Wasps website and has had a few accounts is now reading the thread?

Ps I do agree about changing, I wish it could be 100% about football and football only. As I have posted, I am moving the software to a new forum and the rules will be changed a lot (including me) as a fresh start! I can't argue I am among the worst and that will be changed also! Also the possibility of hiring a random admin / moderator to help so then it can be moderated more!

Then he should sign up to a rugby forum. He admitted he had no interst in ccfc. Therefore he is either on here to antagonise or deflect negative attention away from the franchise

Can't see anything in the forum rules preventing him (or her) signing up or posting here.

Said Wasps fan is looking at this thread too? Weird.

Could well just be a coincidence, but as you said the thread is going even more off topic so I apologise for that to everybody else!

Wasps again!

It's not about having new owners, new council because that isn't going to happen. It's about moving forward without constantly going over the same ground.

As things stand SISU are the ones who hold the cards, as they need to decide what route the club is going to take. Why is it wrong to say they need tying down and trying to find a way fans can achieve this?

Going over the past repeatedly isn't going to move things forward.

what they could do though is look for an empty stadium and line it up before buying the club, then get the club and the stadium shortly after? Might be a few around the country, then just claim there wasn't anywhere in Coventry?

People will be mad for it.

There is only you and a 1000 other loyal supporters who would follow regardless the rest would give up, or have already.

Who knows a club without the burden of a stadium and with a great deal from a successful rugby club could work.

One thing I do know though is that a club taking their landlords to court is destined to failure.

I don't disagree about moving forward, but is it possible? I can't see how.

even if SISU walk away tomorrow and we get new owners. We still have no stadium and are still in a mess.

I was talking about a permanent move, if somebody bought a stadium in Rushden for example and moved CCFC there forever then I'd be done.

If it was outside the city boundary within reason then I would still go, an invisible line doesn't matter but obviously if it was for good in Northampton I would also be done.

Careful though, we can't talk about the past

I look forward to the changes ! If I ever have ''Digs'' at you or make accusations at you or anyone else for that matter , i'll name that person in question. so , they know exactly who i'm talking to . Also , if I make an ''Accusation'' , you can bet your bottom dollar , I'm right to do so ! and I'm a great advocate in , if you can't take criticism , don't dish it out .

It might be best not to quote me then reply to another post in my quoted post. it causes confusion.

It needs to be done as a collective.
However the only one we really have is the Sky Blue Trust.

Read this forum and particularly this thread and they get berated every time they try something.

I can't even get a response from CCFC management regards offering my services FOC for disabled coordination (which is a shambles).
Even Jonathan Strange supposedly fed it into the Supporters Group (including a list of disabled issues) but it's a black hole.
Try and get to Sisu individually and it gets filed in their round filing cabinet.

This forum is collection of moaners (including myself) who don't really want to move this on themselves but criticise those that make any effort (not including myself).

That's the problem though Italia, as much as we would all like answers off them, it appears we have no way of getting them, and as with the constant circles we draw in the sand about SISU/CCC/Wasps et al, it doesn't make any difference. This is just like it doesn't make any difference when posters berate other posters saying they aren't questioning SISU enough.

Even if we do question them we get nothing back, so the real question is how do we get the answers we need and as fans fully deserve?

Where is the new owner going to build a stadium?

If we had a new owner that wanted to build a stadium then I think the most obvious places would be:
Around the M6 / M69 intersection
Warwick Uni
Around Windmill Village
Old Jag site at Browns Lane

Or an 'out of the box' idea. With all the empty shops in the city centre why not move them all to units near each other and put a new ground in the city centre. Say draw a line continuing from New Union Street to Iceland. Would be brilliant and you'd could pretty much create a sporting quarter with CCFC, CRFC and Blaze within walking distance of each other.

I like the out of box idea too. I am convinced that the idea of the city centre is well out of date. It was created in the early 50s as one of the first ( if not the first ) centre designed around a pedestrian precinct. Those days there were no retail parks and most families didn't have a car to load up with shopping. The big name stores were all in the city centre. It was designed with very little living accomodation. The precinct had no real historical flair and the Sherbourne was a rat infested ( as seen from the back of the Farmer Giles ) and hidden "river". Friars Gate will pull more offices to the station and negate the need for people working there to go far into town. With the internet and the retail parks, we no longer have enough demand for the Smithford Way, Arcade and precinct style retail buildings. We are starting to do things e.g. open up the Sherbourne, but we should make the centre into a leisure area with accomodation and smaller individual shops - not the big chains, they can stay on the retail parks. Make the most of our remaining historical buildings and offer more cultural events. Maybe even a park area for shoppers, visitors and workers to relax in.

Great idea you could then turn the executive boxes into student accommodation when not in use
