I doubt Dhillions would continue to support a boozer that loses money. £19.95 for all you can eat chicken legs, not long before it's a Chinese buffet again.

If there is football on TV, it's probably the type of place that is good to watch games, but if you want to go to a pub, you'd probably just to go a pub.
Not really the kind of place you'd go for drinks on a night out, bit of a weird one as it's quite niche.

It depends on the night out, back in the day there was places like the Orange House etc where you could go in town to watch football and make a day of it.
The only issue now is that Jumpin Jacks is for 12-year-olds and they aren't really the target market.

Everywhere around Chapelfields/Earlsdon is quieter then pre-corona. So it may just be one of those things where it takes time to get people back down the pubs.

There’s a gap in the market for a good sports bar in Coventry. Nowhere in town is good to watch the footy anymore.
Was talking to someone senior in there, (perhaps the manager), after Barnsley and he was saying they do see it as a general sports bar.
I'd imagine it's difficult to market it as such however when it's so overtly CCFC.
I think theyll have to do something about their pricing.
No idea if they're the same Dhillons, but there's a house near me that has a bunch of cars with personalised number plates - Bentley, Porsche Cayenne, Merc, BMW...Every time I talk about it, my phrase is 'where is the money coming from'... The only place expanding during the pandemic!
Do student like paying £5 a pint?It'll be fine. It's freshers week soon, and then students back en masse; they are bound to benefit from that during the week if they are screening live games, regardless of the CCFC theme.
They have just started to market the upstairs function room, so I'm sure they'll have regular stuff in there, plus the matchday revenues. They may have to adjust opening times, staffing, pricing etc. but it'll be fine. Selling their own beer will also help I guess - but on that note, the quality of the beer does need to improve - it's not good at all. You'd think that would be the least of their worries.

For a brewery their beer selection is incredibly disappointing too.
Last few times I’ve been to the Spire Bar, they’ve only had their lagers on, and on a few occasions only one of those. They literally brew ale, why not have at least one on!
