Sixfields gates (5 Viewers)

Over hearing a conversation last night in N'ton between a few football dads about City playing at Sixfields. Local people seem quite excited about the prospect of watching Div 1 football in the town and also more than happy that City fans won't be heading down to the games. So gates will probably be high (for Sixfields) but not with City supporters. I wonder what spin Fisher and SISU will put on that. You can see the headlines now!! '4k follow the Sky Blues to Northampton'.

I think there might be a certain novelty factor that might entice a few locals at the very beginning, but I can't see it extending much beyond the first couple of games to be honest.

Trying not to sound all doom and gloom but we have to understand that this is all the start of the end, our club will not come back to Coventry.

My thoughts exactly Ferret.
Even if we become Cobblers fans "adoptive" team I suspect that they would soon get fed up of seeing a bunch of kids getting hammered every other week.
Once our main "players" have been dispatched to faciltate Fishers folly, ie Baker, Leon and Christie and with no recognised CB's (embargo), a -15 points on the board(no CVA) and a "goals for" column reading zero would mean that they are hardly going to want to part with their cash?

i said this before ,the longer coventry are at sixfields ,the more local lads and younger generation will end up supporting Coventry city, now alot of people here might say yes but we are crap ,are falling faster than you can blink etc ,fact remains coventry city ae a far bigger club than northampton .
This has to be a concern for northampton town because as well as coventry city , they might lose a generation of younger fans to the SkyblueCobblers

Do tell why a Northampton 7 year old will support CCFC in 2014/15, when its very likely CCFC will be in League 2 and Northampton in League One.

How can we be a far bigger club. We dont have a kit, any season ticket holders, a ground or hardly any players ?

Coventry a bigger club than Northampton while at Sixfields?

It will only take a season before we are in the same division as them (assuming they don't get promoted), have lower gates, less money and are going backwards.

Forget the past, the present and the future determine how "big" you are. Something that most Liverpool fans have so far failed to comprehend.

If I was David Cardoza I would pull out of the SISU deal (going from villain to hero in an instant and leaving SISU up ch*t creek). Then offer Sixfields to a phoenix club for a set period of 2 seasons till you are on your feet.
