To those non-attendees at St Andrews has the Bury and Bolton situation changed your mind? 24 hours ago, Bury existed in League One, 24 hours later, they are no more. Personally, it sharpens my resolve to follow the team home and away, support it while you can as you never know when it can be taken away from you.

Me too and my father in lawYou’d hope it might make a few realise that, yes actually clubs can and do get expelled from the league and it really is curtains for your club in its current form.
It will be interesting to see what happens at Bury now, but assuming they don’t just reform and shoot straight back up the leagues, it might also give pause to those that think the phoenix club idea is a good one.
I know it sounds a little melodramatic, but if CCFC went I would be genuinely gutted. It’s what I do with my lad at a weekend. He’d be devastated also. And for that reason I will support them wherever we go and whoever owns us.

If Bolton follow Bury and go out of business next month, that's 2 home games that clubs have lost this season, or nearly 10% of their income, that HAS to impact on the viability of a number of smaller clubs who are already struggling.
Surely the EFL should be doing something to help these clubs, such as re distributing money from sky for example, or we could see more clubs going to the wall.

No is the answer for me, there are clear differences in the manner of the management of the respective clubs as I see it. I don't envisage SISU relinquishing control of CCFC at any cost at this juncture- no evidence of that proposal in 10+ years of ownership, of course I, like us all have great sympathy with Bury etal. Heartbreaking stuff, the impact massive to generations of fans.
For me to attend St Andrews, I'd need to be confident in a credible plan to bring us back to Coventry, agreed by all parties (not just SISU) but I don't see that, just a wasteland of broken promises and missed opportunities, I simply cannot watch my team play at another's ground and declare it home, still my religion not my church if you like, i'll support by other means, including financially until the club I love returns to the city of its name.
To add this doesn't make me a NOPM advocate, I see and have voiced the dangers of that particular stance, I guess its just the principles, not right or wrong, just personal to me that formulate my abstention from St Andrews, the whole thing is intractable and equally as hearbreaking.

No from me , never say I wont go to Brum , but I am saving a lot of money, I always wondered how peopled turned from going to football every week to just a passive interest , but I guess that's starting to happen to me , football has always been about habit , that's why you go in the dark days , for SISU to break that once , with Northampton was inexcusable and showed that they just didn't know there customers, to do it twice is unforgivable, reckless and cruel[/QUOTE]

And there in lies the problem , the Bury chairman paid a pound , for a distressed company ,said he put money in and then wanted a return , and was prepared to let it go to the wall because he didn't get enough money back , we haven't navigated that journey yet, as we don't know what Sisu plan is , I for one wont rest until that becomes clearFine with your overall sentiments, but whilst the move to Northampton was inexcusable (and SISU's fault), the blame for the move to Birmingham lies at the feet of several parties, and had we not moved, we could easily be standing alongside Bury
Was just wondering, aside from the sad demise of Bury, is it now the case that only 3 will get relegated from league 1 and that the 'missing' team (Bury) will be replaced in league 2 next year by an additional Conference club (or whatever it is now called?)
Yes, same here. I know we are doing well, but I have no great passion or desire to attend at all.The Sixfields season certainly blew quite a sizeable hole in my passion. As much as I still love to go (to away games), I don’t feel as strong about it all as I used to. This time around threatens to do just the same...
