if sisu own us then by supporting the team you also support the owner can't be separated much is the pity
Do you support Coventry City?

If your answer is yes then by your logic you support sisu.
If your answer is no then what are you doing on a coventry city supporters forum?

Everybody is anti sisu.

Point the shite out then? I guess you don't support ccfc.

I meant the thread in general but your post summed it up, even the token supported ccfc for xx years like it's a free pass to talk rubbish.

You know full well that sisu are refusing to put any more cash in. If we don't buy tickets then our budget will be cut. If you actually love coventry city then go and support them through it's darkest times when it has it's shortest owners and show prospective buyers that there is a loyal committed fanbase.

Will you f****** lot leave it out, I have been supporting city for 55 years. I still have a season ticket, but will not renew again till SISU have gone.
That does not mean I am no longer a fan, just feel the same as many that I have had enough. I admire anyone who still pays to watch this shit
but I wont be one.
It's time we just allowed people to deal with the situation in their own way and stop bad mouthing fellow fans, we all show our hurt in different ways
have a bit of empathy. One day hopefully we will all be back singing off the same hymn sheet.

Did you or anyone on here worry about our future when we spent 5 mill on Robbie Keane for example ?
Bought him and already had him sold to make enough money to pay the wages for 6 months.

So are you saying it is good that Richardson cashed in on Keane so we could pay the bills but SISU are cunts for doing it?

I don't have a problem with any of this. What I do have a problem with is people that try to rewrite history.

Yes it was good to see the players that we had. But we didn't know that we couldn't afford them. We just saw pictures of a new ground with a retractable roof. We didn't know that HR was sold to pay the bills for a few months. And because of this does it put Richardson in the clear?

And Richardson still comes out with shit. It was only last year that he said he bought the land where the Ricoh is built. We know that it isn't true. But some fell for it. He financially destroyed our club and left us without a ground.

Richardson left the building 15 years ago, move on, we will have to move on from this season too. If you want a competitive team next season then buy a season ticket, go to games, buy merchandise.
The owners have already made it crystal clear that they are not putting cash in and they will cut the cloth accordingly.
NOPM will slowly kill the club, it is just the fans version of the owners.

Fully agree with all of it except for the first line.

As we all know I am one of the most vocal against SISU. But to blame them for everything is ignoring what led them to our club. We were 60m in debt and no ground of our own when Richardson left. I can't ever forget what he did to our club.

If incompetence was a criminal offence Richardson would have got life inside. And that is without what was said to have gone on at the time.

But half of the money went back into buying Bellamy.
Whether he was the right or wrong man they still re-invested it.

Yes lots of people/organisations over the years have contributed to the overall decline of ccfc but I believe sisu are responsible for quickening that decline and making the club a laughing stock. I never expected miracles from them but I did expect some honesty, some integrity and a little transparency. Sisu have not only, through their poor management, brinkmanship and madcap JRs taken us to our lowest position in over 50years they have lost the club a ground and probably a trading facility as well as run down the academy.
On this thread some have said eventually they will go. My biggest fear is sisu will not go before the club is wound up forever. I have supported ccfc for over 50years but loathe our owners as they are destroying us by a thousand cuts.

Which was the profit from the deal. All part of dodgy dealing that went on at the time.

Didn't the Keane profit go to directors who funded the Keane purchase. Allegedly.

If true, wouldn't that mean taking money out the club? Imagine the uproar.

I was more concerned about the Lee Hughes £5 mil and a pound scenario. That turned out fucking well, didn't it.

Sisu turned a salvageable club into a completely unmitigated ground zero of supreme failure and fuck uppery. They are now lumbered with us, till they can sell Ryton, sell key playing assets and piss off...what will be left upon their departure? Not a lot.

In their honour, we should petition for the Ricoh to have a 'Super Super Sisu' stand so whoever inherits the white poxy elephant stadium after Wasps fold, will know their eternal greatness.

That was one of the rumours. Another one was him being one of the best paid at our club. But all we heard properly was how much he put in.

Which part of what I said is wrong? When someone says that they have run us badly everyone should know what is meant. We all know what they have done.

Strangely enough they have been trying lately. Mowbray must have been on a few quid. He walks so they bring in another manager. He couldn't change things so they pay him off after just a short period. They then bring back a manager who walked away who got our best results for years.
I didn't say anything you said was wrong, I think SISU have been trying all along....it just they are not very good at running things and put trust and power into incompetent hands, unfortunately repeatedly.

I get what the initial poster is trying to get at, albeit a bit clumsily...the 'club' that just-about-exists today, is a million miles away from the football club I fell in love with when I started going up in 1999... it's heartbreaking.
