No longer does this shower deserve to use the name Coventry City F. C. Change the name now because they arer no longer recognized as the club I have supported for 65 years. They have taken us back 60 years when we last in Division Four (now called Division Three).

Make no mistake, I am a Coventry City supporter and have been for 65 years, arguably years longer than 99.9% of people on this forum. What I am NOT is a SISU supporter and never will be.
Nobody is a sisu supporter. Supporting the team is not supporting sisu. Saying the team may as well be sisu fc is not supporting the team.

Toddle off from the forum then. Let us coventry city fans talk about coventry city. If it isn't your team you won't be bothered.
Stiff upper lip then. No matter how bad it gets don't get emotional just keep the faith. That's gone well hasn't it.

I am talking about the club, not the team. The team will always be the Sky Blues. My opening thread was about the club.

However hard it is at the moment, and we all know how demoralising these last few years have been, one day things will get better,it maybe a few more seasons with SISU in charge but one day they will be gone.
We just have to rough it out and believe the above happens.
Just how many of us still supporting the club when it happens is the true concern.

Of course it wont but people are hurting and letting off steam hitting back at them doesn't help.
I appreciate people are hurting, I am and will criticise this shower all they deserve. The OP said "No longer does this shower deserve to use the name Coventry City F. C. Change the name now because they arer no longer recognized as the club". Yes we should be supportive of other fans but the biggest danger is having no fans left when sisu finally do go. Statements like this accelerate the haemorrhaging of fans and need to be shot down.

I'm sorry. I didn't know that we change the name of our club each time someone else is in charge. I enjoyed our years of being Richardson FC but it was what started off our run of being where we are now.

Bollocks. I mean in the one thing leads to another sense sure, but there have been plenty of events out of our control before Sisu that were also to blame and the slate was wiped clean under Sisu (twice!) and we are still dropping.

Trying to point to one event and say "that was it" is massively oversimplifying. Richardson over spent, McGinnity made it worse, ITV Digital made it even worse, Sisu made it worse still.

Let's be honest here, without the spending under Richardson we'd have dropped out the Prem earlier and be blaming someone else.

Decades of shit leadership upon shit leadership lead us to admin. Sisu picked us up and took us straight back there in a matter of years.

If it wasn't for Richardson spending money we didn't have and selling HR without having the money to replace it SISU wouldn't be with us. Richardson put us in so much debt we were always going to be in trouble.

Yes SISU have run us badly. But name the last person who ran us well. They are not to blame for everything.

Of course they are not to blame for everything having took over a bit of a basket case. But they have managed to put us into a spectacular nose dive. Destroyed business partnerships even if already frayed. Disengaged themselves from their customer base. Produced a portfolio of suicidal public announcements, repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot with contradictions. Have stripped the business of assets. For financial experts have failed to attract new investment.

You are right they are not to blame for everything....but the rest they have totally managed to fuck up.

Sisu had the chance to build when we had the likes of Fox and Dann but decided to start cashing in. If they had just a tiny semblance of football knowledge we would not be in this position now.
Like him or not I believe Ranson is not lying when he says they vetoed a 2 mill move for Carroll and Henderson.
As for Richardson overspending , yes he did, but that is what the game has been for half a century , some get lucky some not, unfortunately we are the latter.

Which part of what I said is wrong? When someone says that they have run us badly everyone should know what is meant. We all know what they have done.

Strangely enough they have been trying lately. Mowbray must have been on a few quid. He walks so they bring in another manager. He couldn't change things so they pay him off after just a short period. They then bring back a manager who walked away who got our best results for years.

We were running at a loss of over 10m a year. That is much more than just a gamble. It was total incompetence at best.

Did you or anyone on here worry about our future when we spent 5 mill on Robbie Keane for example ?
