Yep, 45.000, retractable roof, sliding pitch and it was going too be clad with Teracotta tiles.

My memory maybe letting me down, but the administration process was extremely foggy,
Appleton himself didn't know what was where.
SISU were the only one who could safely bid and actually know what they were bidding
For, the way I understood it at the time (I maybe wrong) Haskel could have outbid SISU
And been presented with a company resembling an empty broom cupboard.

Nope, don't think so, hence the question.

Didn't Haskell have the means then?

ACL's preferred administrator stated that Haskell did not have the means.

ffs, I have no clue why you're trying to justify a property developer who's not even yesterday's news, but well before that... and who even his allies said couldn't afford the deal!

Get off your high fucking horse, I'm not trying to justify anything or anyone, you stated
Something I questioned it FFS, what's wrong with that.

Some great reading on Richard keys Twitter. Go and check it out. I don't particularly like the guy but he seems honest enough and knowledgable enough.

Says we haven't hit rock bottom yet (hard to believe) but true as we can drop another league or two yet I guess. He says the club is worthless other than a £1 standard fee and because of that he thinks joy will just liquidate the club. She stands nothing to gain by selling us. So ditch us. He think there are people in the city who can and will help us if we can get the club back. Says sisu stole ccfc from Robinson after he wrote of debt for 30m (not sure on)

Overall doesn't know a lot more than us but cleared up a few loose ends for me. To end the argument about the value of the club, it is absolutely worthless. £1 tops.

I thought "Arena 3000" was still on time?

Although admittedly in this stadium the number refers to both the completion date and the capacity!

Do you have a link for that. I can't find it (not saying you are wrong btw, just wouldn't mind reading it)
I was always under the impression Haskell had the money but not what SISU were prepared to invest to buy their own debt.

If we were taken over by the Yanks would our name be changed to Coventry City Wasps and our kit changed to black and yellow stripes?

They could have us playing in pink leotards and call us the Dogshit ArseCocks and it would be better than now.

Whys that then?

Serious question, what would new owners do that our current owners aren't doing?

I want SISU gone like anybody else but Im not convinced everything will be hunky dory straight away.

It was an interview on cwr, I can remember listening to it. The link is probably long gone by now.

If you mean by smug face Appleton - he wasn't talking about him he was referring to Brendan Guilfoyle.
