Who's saying that? I don't recall much popping of champagne corks when we cleared out from the Ricoh.

I do seem to recall: "it's good we aren't at the Ricoh as the boo boys may hurt the players feelings"?

That's just some kind of flimsy attempt at a silver lining with nothing about rent or finances though. If whoever came up with it was calling for us to leave because of the nasty boo boo men over a year ago, sure.

Asking a question isn't a form of logic. The answer is the logic, or lack thereof.

It's not really a question though is it? The implication is clear - if someone doesn't join in with every dissenting voice, they're implied to be pro-sisu usual suspects suxfield lovers.

Let's light the pitchforks and go drown some witches.

Well said Michael.

Putting aside any of the bogeymen of the last seven years (ACL, CCC, Andy Thorn, Preston Haskell, etc), SISU have been responsible for the welfare and management of the football club. In this, they have failed spectacularly and even the owner admits to mistakes in an attempt to convince the fans that she is doing the right thing now.

When SISU bought CCFC, and for the last seven years, they knew the hand they had been dealt. Their failure to deal with it is just not acceptable and makes them completely unfit to be in charge of the club.

If you put aside for a moment the distraction of the stadium row, how can anyone be happy with owners that came in seven years ago promising Premiership football but have just narrowly avoided giving us fourth tier football? Judge them on that – everything else should be within the competence of a decent owner to get right, especially after seven years.

What the fuck? No, I'm not one of the people you claim are pro-sisu and wanted to leave. I'm not sure anyone actually is.

Michael - you said this barely 7 days ago in criticism of some of my comments

"I never bought into the whole pro/anti acl/sisu thing and I lost interest in people arguing over it a long time ago. kcic is pro team and pro fan hence coming to our 4 key questions which are about how we get back to the ricoh asap not who is to blame and certainly not prioritising the interests of a hedge fund, charity or council."

Care to explain the campaign's change of tack???

Then why ask 'but you are saying we are better off financially at sixfields?' which is apparently the party line of people who believe it was right to swan off to Northampton?

because we were talking about finances? to be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about NOPM, or sixfields, or ACL/SISU.

what I personally want is CCFC playing at the ricoh, and having a decent board/owner willing to support those on the pitch, and enticing the fans to attend every week, and a decent financial footing to build upon.

I wasn't talking about finances, I'm questioning whether the people you're rallying against actually exist. The closest thing I can see to anyone being pro-sisu is RFC, and that's a troll account about as subtle as diarrhoea in a crowded lift.

quote of the night :claping hands:

I'm not rallying against anyone. I stated some rough figures that worked out to make a profit.

Would you not agree that Fisher and ML are pro-sisu? They're the ones spouting propaganda, causing a divide in the fan base over why we are in northampton

No one is really looking at the title are they? Its the detail below which is just a mindless rant lacking any structure or purpose. Then after posting it Michael takes his leave and will not answer any points raised. This particular protest group has hit the buffers. Time to call it a day.

Except the thread is clearly more than just the title isn't it? It has other words and everything.

They're part of the machine itself so I wouldn't really count them as you can basically just fob off anything they say right off the bat. Segregating people into little groups is what cements divides, and it happens far too frequently here.

i mean if the owner of a club said "right, we're doing this", some fans may agree, some may not. so that's dividing the fan base is it not?

  • Move on to investments where they might make some money
  • Write off CCFC as a bad investment and unsaleable
  • Hand CCFC over to the fans and write off debts owed to the sisu family of companies (and remember to do proper due diligence in future!) – fans setting up a Community Interest Company is dead easy

Suck It Up Sisu. You made a bad investment, you have no right to a return on it – give us back our Club and move on!

PUSB!

Michael whilst I agree that we need to be back in Coventry now (if not sooner) you have to understand that Sisu have invested £50m (Source: one of the Sisu legal team in court) and they have a right to try and recover that investment. They own almost 100% of OEG and SBSL and they can do what they like with it. Yes at the moment we don't look like a very good investment but Joy may feel that the value of the companies will improve over time. They don't have to sell up to anyone in much the same way as the Higgs don't have to sell their share in ACL.

This thread probably got the response that Michael wanted to be honest.

I think people need to read the mailout again. Forget your agenda, forget your views of KCIC, Michael, sisu and Acl. Read it as a neutral.......

It may be more "anti-sisu" (people are so fucking obsessed with that) than other mailouts but ultimately sisu haven't been good owners.

i completely agree anyone can say on CET or a fan group anything that gathers support, and causes division amongst fans.

but I've never known a club be so divided as CCFC is right now

You can have a different opinion without becoming an angry moronic simpleton though.

And if you must be an angry moron, at least have some variety about it. Surprise me with your hate without resorting to the tired old catchphrases!

Whatever happened to Scrotium? That was a bi of variety but it's as dead as Latin now

This is what many pro-sisu don't realise. they look at the figures of -£(7million) and assume it's due to the rent.

I don't pretend to be a mathematician, but a simple 10,000 x £15 x 23 = £3,450,000. 18 players X 3k per week (a rough average wage?) x 52 weeks (assuming they get payed for the whole calender year) = £2,808,000.

£3,450,000 - £2,808,000 = £642,000 profit

I haven't taken into account sponsorship, prize money etc aswel as general staff wages, but I assume they more or less cancel each other out.

so add on the interest of previous debts and there's your -£7,000,000 a very good reason to leave the ricoh

You've omitted some slight issues here -

The club has never managed to charge more than £10 per ticket at the Ricoh
Vat national insurance and income tax
Loan interest
Rent at £400,000 including match day costs
Payments to police, stewards, St. John's etc
Payments to agents
One Player will be receiving £400,000 next season alone
The small fact the club made a collosal loss in its first season at the Ricoh despite averaging 20,000

Back to school I'm afraid
