Taking into account all the comments made in the public domain so far I think Sisu are simply trying to do the right thing by the Football Club.
If they cannot access revenue streams from the Ricoh to supplement turnover from ticket sales we will have a squad the same size as Northampton Town once the new financial fair play rules kick in next season.
If we are only allowed to spend 60% of the annual turnover on the field without this additional turnover we will be forever struggling to make an impact in the game.
Sounds to me like Acl/Council took what they could when times were good believing that the football gravy train would continue on & on forever.
Now the shit has hit the fan (literally if youre a Sky Blue supporter) its time to accept that the football club needs help now (from the council) or they let the club as we know it shut for good.
Does anyone believe that Sisu has been raking it in since they saved us from admin all those years ago? Give them (and us) a break!
Neither the Council or Acl surely want to see the city of Coventry without a football club? Do they?
In my opinion they should sell it ALL to Sisu and let them get on with it!

Don't agree SISU knew the terms when they bought the club as does anyone who rent's or has a mortgage on their house, I cannot turn round and say 'I'm not paying' as I risk loosing my home, the same stands for SISU. When we were looking relegated last season that is when they should of approached ACL to renegociate rather than ignore the Elephant in the room.

In my opinion the last thing I want is a hedge fund company owning The Ricoh who so easily could dissolve the asset, take the money and disappear, SISU have shown what an untrustworthy business partner they would be by the way they tried to force ACL out of business so they could get the ground for nothing.

I don't think you can blame the council or ACL for the predicament because revenue comes from other sources and they have been more than flexible by offering to lower the rent, yes other League One teams pay less than Coventry but do they have a fantastic facility like Coventry, no they do not.

ACL have said they would use an open accounting system so that all parties could see exactly what revenues were coming in

The club was claimed as being 'debt free' when SISU took over, and yet we allegedly tens of millions in debt again already.

Why can't we see them run the club properly for a start, before gifting them the stadium too

Unfortunately if they are doing the right thing by the club they have completely gone about it the wrong way.

For me personally the way they have gone about breeds complete mis trust.

From fans, the council and ACL.

Thats a quick change of tune! Why should the council buy out the football club? I am of the opinion that a successful football club is good for the City but if this is the case why did they not buy out Jaguar, why did they not help out the Rugby club when they were in trouble? they are a council and running the city is there most important function not to bail out failing or poorly run businesses.

Surely the Council can not afford CCFC to leave the Ricoh

If SISU do build a stadium in Warwick I am sure the local Pubs , Eateries , Bus Company and Taxi firms and Car parks wont mind the extra business , but Im not sure how popular Coventry Council will be with the locals firms that lose that trade.
In a recession when business are failing every day , this could be the final straw for many .

Agreed but the problem is as it as been all along is that Sisu want the stadium and revenue streams they just don't want to pay for them.

Controversial but they saved us from getting relegated to league one, having loads of debts and the potential of someone else picking us up on the cheap.

I would give them credit if they were able to take on the project they took on fact is they can't.

I think one of the main problems in this is the fact the Council have left ACL to it, something which it looks like hasn't worked!

Rightly or wrong, as soon as silly talk started coming in the Council should have said enough is enough we are going to settle this dispute, 1./ by paying the bank of, and 2./ planning the future for the Ricoh which brings the city of Coventry together!

Sadly they have done part one but that's it, as a result ACL rightly or wrongly could destroy everything the council intended to do with the Ricoh!

As for SISU, what would other owners done differently? Probably pay a rent, but everything else i think would have been quite similar!!!!
