Remember Binks on loan and we all thought no chance of us getting him, extortionate wages, transfer fee etc and then he is unveiled out of the blue as a signing the following summer. I believe we have a great chance. At the end of the day, its down to the player and his contract has barely nothing left (just a one year option this summer I believe)

We take each game as it comes and everyone else can dream.

We’re on a great run the players are professional and have a seriousness to get the job done. I’m liking the feel and Lampard has the experience at the top level in terms of being a winner. Frank is calm and focused.

Squad depth increased in Jan and there’s competition.

CBS is an incredible venue and we want to drive revenue through music and live events.

Buying the stadium is worth it. It’s our home. It’s a home for football and a business on event side. We’re going at warp speed for the venue to maximise it.

Been a great few years. FA Cup runs, play offs. We’re on the cusp on something great.

Football is a really difficult business. Operating losses for clubs, how to balance the books in the chase to Prem.

We had our episode when Mark left and fans got emotional. Everyone has a right to have an opinion.

Coventry can establish itself at the top level with the fan base and size of the city. I’m excited. Live the moment. Enjoy the next couple of months.

Premier league season ticket offer will be honoured to those brave ones who went for them.

For others season ticket prices will come out on May once we know which league we’re in.

Sunderland changed their first 11 when they got up which is radical and extreme. Burnley model of up and down doesn’t quite work. We’re going to do it the Cov way. It’s about trying to stay there first. Dean Austin and the department have been great in how we have recruited and developed players. We have established a high quality squad. Have full confidence in the wider team to continue that.

We’ve got Rushworth on loan and I know Tony Bloom personally. This season we needed a high quality keeper once we lost Dovin. He’s grown into a fantastic player for us. We have given Rushworth a platform. Hope he does well for the next 9 games…

Boro game after Oxford was such a turning point. CBS looked great on TV with the smoke, lights etc.

I’m proud I’ve got the club and stadium today. We’re having a season which merits success. We have for great history and be proud of the football club.

If we go up there will be a party. I like a party.

Football is not cheap. I’ve been in business a long time. I’ve got 100% of the club and wanted to move fast to get to where we do. We will cross the bridge if we need extra investment based on what we need going forward.

Messsge to fans just enjoy it. Don’t worry about what others are doing. Make the CBS hostile for the opposition over the next 5 home games.

I’m calm.
Great words from The King. I wonder if he'll turn his seat into a throne as one of the upgrades for next season?

So unlikely to do a Sunderland which i always suspected but also very keen not to be a Burnley, which is nice to hear. Who the fuck wants to be a Burnley?
D also what doug doesnt realise is hes given SBT a platform to argue about what we need for next season

Om that note i think we have a few able to progress and develop further

You're comparing apples and oranges here.

We'll argue over anything on here lets be honest  You forget we all support the same team sometimes.

I agree, i think we have a few that can step up and deserve a chance to do so. Frank will already know which ones i'm sure. Worth noting we're a better team than last seasons Sunderland also.

I cant be arsed to think about models, costings, income streams, potential expansions. I have been a fan since 6 years of age and at the minute im watching my club through the eyes of that 6 year old boy standing on the kop...

I love it, im enjoying the whole experience again, without analyzing anything else. If it comes to the point of celebration, i will, for days. As for what we do after, that's for when we get there. But no matter what Doug will leave this club in a way better place than he found it. And i hope for the next generation of 6 year olds its something they can love for a lifetime.

Love that
Yep me too
Lost my composure on Wednesday when the Charlton score came through and joined in with the we’re gonna win the league chant
I’m more composed and anxious now but that 6-7 year old watching Paul Culpin on the kop was being seen and it was fun

He wasn’t on extortionate wages and they wanted him gone

With Rushworth, even if we are going to try and sign him, Doug wouldn't say so. He would want Brighton to think we have other options

Not staying up and not going down but a secret third thing.

Sunderland's strategy, though successful, was high risk.

Burnley were struggling because they had no financial fleixbility, signed a load of top championship players with promotion clauses and obligations to buy. Onyeka aside we are free of that, and like Sunderland less constrained by existing players' PL salaries and future fees for players already through the door.

I think we spend £100m or thereabouts and get 6-7 high quality players to overhaul the quality of our starting line up.

We'll need 6 or 7 to step up well and be regulars.

I do think it could bode well for us with some continuity of personnel

But doing so would mean our recruitment would have to be spot on around them .

I trust them in the recruitment theyve already proved themselves

It would be the most exciting summer transfer window I've probably ever seen in all honesty.

Happy to not do a Sunderland and not do a Burnley. Sunderland would've been well and truly fucked if they had got relegated this season - and a lot of underlying metrics indicate they have been quite lucky.

Remember, we only have to be better than the other 2 teams that come up, and 1 other prem team.
