This is exactly what we need, fair play to him. I bet it made the kid so happy to have him turn up for a kick about in his back garden.

That’s my boy! He was so excited and is absolutely full of it today.. Jordan was so good with him. Such a brilliant surprise. Jordan told us he actually slept with his playoff medal. I bloody love that

Did he just knock on the door and ask for a kickabout?

For all the toss written about Wasps' and their brilliant community engagement, I think CCFC piss all over them. The club posted that players had spent 540 hours out and about this season at schools etc in and around Coventry.

Yep:

NEWS: Coventry City increase player visits during the 2017/18 season to 540 hours!

Doubled in the last 4 years.

Did he or the club call ahead to arrange the surprise or did he literally just show up at the door?

The connection between team and supporters seems to have become so much better in the past year, more of this

He called ahead, it was a surprise for Noah though.. he bought him a signed programme , flag and his first training shirt from when he joined the academy. Such a nice genuine lad. Makes me proud

That's proper ace. Best part is this is the kind of thing that can happen when kids support their hometown club rather than one of the big names. I hope we see more of this

That's brilliant, I know it's impossible to do this for every requst but seeing the players and staff putting themselves out when they can and doing that little bit extra, first class. If your lad wasn't a fan for life, he will be now.

This is a great memory for your son, forever Sky blue, cemented by this act alone.
In the first season in Division 1 my sister went on dates with a player and he used to pick her up at our house in Henley Green and take her out. The player was a lovely man who seemed genuinely happy to talk with me and my junior school friends who amazingly seemed to appear when his car was outside.
He had no issues with having a kick about whilst waiting or telling us what is was like to be marked by Bobby Moore or on the same pitch as Jimmy Greaves.

It is the equivalent of Peter Ndlovu rocking up for a kick about in my back garden when I was younger. Think I'd have wet myself with excitement. (Now I reckon I could outpace him and I know I'd take him in a 50/50)

Peter ndlovu rocked up at a few houses in Coventry if the rumours are true, so your family probably dodged a bullet there

I did wonder why my younger brother had darker skin and always wore football shirts 15 sizes too big for him. I will ask the question.

Hi there, Saw this on your Facebook page too. Must have been a great few weeks with trip to Wembley too? Looks like the club are working hard on acquiring that next generation of supporters! Agree the lawn does need a bit of work!!

This is brilliant. That young lad will always be a sky blue now and he'll tell all his mates about one of the many Jordans rocking up for a kickabout. You can't buy that kind of publicity.

If your matchday posts are anything to go by I'd have expected you to snap him straight from the kick off

Got to let him know you are there haven't you? He would think twice about trying to take me on with stepovers by the wheelie bin.

I know I may well be several decades older than your lad, but when's Shipley coming round my bloody house?

We have a narrow doorway, so not sure if he would get his walking frame through there to be honest.

Besides, I have just run out of Bourbons and they're his favourite.
