Well if they invade the pitch and the game is abandoned then we’re awarded 3 points regardless of the score.

That’s not the case re game being abandoned. My concern is we have to replay.

I feel for them and we have been in same situation.

Going to be Interesting, as im
Not travelling up with my 6 year old if this is going ahead, suspect others will be in same boat.

as per other Q about sitting anywhere, in same boat, get in early an migrate to front most people will be fine with it, especially with kids.

It's a difficult one.

There was respect between the two clubs after the death of their supporters on the way home from a match.

In recent years, Wednesday fans have been dreadful. I've never cringed as much as hearing Palmer getting booed a week after being racially abused. It was embarrassing from them.

However, plenty of our fans were furious with Sheffield United fans for the way they responded to our protests with the pitch invasions. It's a little hypocritical if we do the same. Although I stand by our situation at the time was far worse than anything Wednesday are facing.

Said everything I was about to type. That Sheff U response still wrangles with me.

Think we should support them. There would be idiots of our own fanbase (and every teams) that would’ve booed Palmer in the same situation sadly. Shouldn’t tarnish a whole fanbase.

It is a good time to be playing Wednesday, as later in the season they might be in a better position with possibly their Chairman gone. Playing them midweek in the middle of Winter would prrobably make the game more difficult for us.

I've no problem with them protesting and understand why they are doing so, but we really don't want the game called off.

Here's what will happen;
Protest planned - our players playing with that on their minds and worrying about hoards of Weds fans piling onto the pitch.
SW go ahead, get the crowd going - go on to win the game and then they protest after the game!

So, after my boy being denied the opportunity of his first away game (Millwall in the cup) by the unscrupulous actions of the kitten drowning, old aged pensioner door step conning activities of the point farming community who lurk in the shadows of our otherwise magnificent support, I ear mark this fixture (especially with the early kick off being a factor - as day light is an adversary to the social habits of the aforementioned)
I now find that this fixture may well end in disappointment owing to the undoubted third party sponsored aiding and abetting of the - yep, aforementioned.
Thanks a lot you utter shower.

Gotta support them in their plight...

Do we fuck. They're a horrible bunch of cunts and 10 years in the wilderness like we had to endure will hopefully teach them some humility

Some strange people on here.

We’re supposed to be grateful to Birmingham for taking £2m from us to let us play at their ground, but not want to support a club in genuine need of help because less than 1% of its supporters were acting like morons a few years ago

If it was less than 1% as you say I would be fully behind whatever they want to do. But it was downright racism against one of our own players. We could hear the chants and racist comments clearly. And in the next game they were just as bad.

Why would I want to be on the side of those clearly abusing our players just because of the colour of their skin? But at the same time I'm not against them protesting. They just won't get any help from me in the slightest.

Maybe we display a banner that says...
PALMER = KARMA.
Seriously though they should protest and we should back them, but if they come onto pitch in numbers to disrupt game that effects our fans, players and potentially diarupts our season and our competitors.
EFL have to make a statement well in advance to remind everbody what tbe implications are.
When I lived in Sheffield, Wednesday were slightly more the family thinking person's team allegefly from the nicer part of the city. Blades were seen as the scumbags from Shoreham.
Now seems similar to each other with a few nasty individuals.

It was less than 1% abusing him, it was far more than that booing him and defending the abuse/booing online.

This is 2025 Britain, racism just isn't a dealbreaker for a lot of people anymore I suppose.

Nah, I'll defend any clubs right to try and oust shit owners no matter how much of a bunch of cunts they are and regardless of whether they supported us or not

If they found our plight funny then they're grade A pricks but I'd still support them if they're in the same boat.

And just because we have a decent owner now, doesn't mean we always will in the future.
The game needs to get these spivs to fuck.

They were more than happy with him when he was chucking the money in, they were complaining about the FFP rules stopping them from progressing. Now the money has run out and the owner is trying to run them in a more sustainable way they're not happy.

I was there when standing up to racism meant going out on the streets with the ANL to counter NF marches not just being smarmy on the Internet so I'm quite happy with my anti racist credentials thanks
But if you're that concerned about racism then I suggest you knock following city on the head because as others have said, we're not above scrutiny.

There's a difference between having racist fans which every club will have and how they acted.

He was clearly talking about sleeping up to Sheffield only for the game to be abandoned after it had started. Like this.

It's a matter of scale but most clubs have issues to a certain extent, but yeah, they seem to be worse than most.
But it's possible to think they need to deal with their racism problem while simultaneously thinking I don't want another dodgy owner destroying another football club
