Looks like the Sheffield fans are organising an on the pitch protest when we play them due to it being on Sky. (looks like its only on sky+)

As a club who has been through it all with owners. I have sympathy. If the EFL can give us the 3 points mind you that would be great.

I have no issue with this

They're also campaigning for no food and drink "not a pound in the ground". Hopefully we'll all be buying an extra pie and pint to cancel out one person who supports it.

Good luck to them with it, not nice for the good ones that their clubs going through that. I dont have much sympathy on the whole though they're mostly racist arseholes. Let's just win the game and not get any injuries, can't see it getting abandoned

not really, if you mean vs Bolton people did go on the pitch but they just walked fom one end to the other and the game started again

no attempt to get anything abandoned
Are we forgetting fans with SISU out banners parading the pitch when we played the blunts on SlySports? Players had to leave the pitch til they were off! Wasn't many of them, a dozen maybe that went on the pitch. But it certainly disrupted the game, wasnt shown on tele (as is the same with ALL pitch invaders, the cameras turn away), and had no effect on getting SISU out!
Blunts later went on to blame that game as the reason they failed in promotion and the feud that now is, began!

As much as I sympathise with Wednesday fans and hope football as a whole can move away from these awful owners, a pitch invasion isn't the answer and doesn't work..... unless your plan is to turn other fans around the country against your cause? When in this case, it does work. Really well, actually.

Some strange people on here.

We’re supposed to be grateful to Birmingham for taking £2m from us to let us play at their ground, but not want to support a club in genuine need of help because less than 1% of its supporters were acting like morons a few years ago

How could they have blamed that when they actually scored the winner just after the players came back out?

And a plus 10 GD for the game.

There is no doubt in my mind they have chose this game on purpose considering the bad feeling following the games the other season!

They will have in the back of their mind it will piss us off travelling all that way to see a non-match

Hopefully abandoned 5 mins in, we are awarded a 3-0 without breaking sweat and we can return to the pubs whilst they protest(y)

Mostly correct but the reason(s) I always thought it was stupid they complained so much was a) they came back out and scored the winner and b) they won the league with 100 points that year! So it didn't affect them in any way

Awful fanbase, encountered them inside and outside the ground in recent years and don't have a single good thing to say about them. Nobody really helped us and I'd be quite happy to see them with points deductions rolling down the leagues.

What happens with our fans if abandoned? Do we get our money back? Be pissed off travelling there, wasting a small fortune and giving up my weekend, only to watch them act like dicks on the pitch.
It could be a winner financially on the Day for chansiri.

According to my son they are pretty much admitting that on twitter. That and still justifying their booing of Palmer.

As much a proportion of their fanbase are pricks no club deserves to be run into the ground. We know what its like to be on the verge of death as a football club and I wouldnt wish that upon another club, hopefully someone buys out Wednesday so we can continue to beat them every 3 weeks as we seem to play them all the time

So if their fans stop the game it's 3pts to us but if we join in we wouldn't. No getting on the pitch in solidarity. It's a shit situation and do support them but we need to clap them and walk away with the 3pts

Yeah dont bank on us being awarded the win/3 points unless we are winning and 70+mins have been played. If they stop it in the first half, its likely to be replayed whatever the scoreline.

I'm torn on this. Part of me thinks I'd rather take the 3 points and move on. Other part of me thinks I'm paying to watch football so I want to watch football (and I'm local to South Yorkshire, so no big deal with travel). Hopefully it'll be played on the day.

We're they promoted? Maybe I remember it wrong then? Maybe they complained it "could" have ruined their promotion?

What is do remember vividly though, is after the game. There wasnt many people around, and round near the big shutter door to the exhibition hall, past the casino. There were 2 cov fans, lad in his 30s and what i assume was his dad, in maybe his late 50s early 60s ish. Surrounded and being harangued by about 6 or 7 blunts fans! Scumbags! Luckily we were in quite a large group and after a few choice words they fucked off without any trouble.

I can't stand bullies. I can't stand lads that wont say shit unless theyre in a big group of mates! And since that day, I can't stand the blunts! One of the first results I look for on a match day and LOVE seeing them lose!

If it gets abandoned and rearranged then the away end will turn nasty.

Reading getting a game abandoned with 700 odd Port Vale fans travelling won't be the same as Sheffield Wednesday getting a game abandoned with newly 4000 away fans there.

The thing is, Wednesday fans are advertising this. Police and stewarding will be prepared. It's a lot different to other games that have been more spontaneous.
