Don't know if this has been asked already so apologies if it has,

But what would happen if we are winning and Wednesday fans invade the pitch and cause the game to be abandoned?

I know some people aren't too concerned, they may be right, but I will surprised if the game finishes. If Reading fans can force an abandonment, I'm sure Wednesday fans can. That seems to be their intention, and if they sit in the centre circle who is dragging them off? Ah well, will travel up regardless, just hope there is no grief. Not saying people should openly support if they don't want to, but if it happens, let it happen and don't play up. We'll get over it.

authorities would decide. I think it would depend on minutes played and the score and possibly other factors. No point worrying about things that might or might not happen, we need to focus and get the job done.

Wednesday are making a fist of it In the league, so I don’t think the fans will risk the game being abandoned and awarded and then possibilities of further sanctions. They have enough sanctions pending already.

I think they will keep it visual and vocal.

I hope the game finishes without off the field incident. I dont think Wednesday will get much sympathy if they get a game abandoned. Protesting is fine, (we should now) but getting a game abandoned is a step too far IMHO.

I'd rather that than 10 minutes from the end.

I'll be very pissed off if they get the game abandoned.
I'm pretty sure our players and management will be too.
I'm not in support of this at all.

I don't agree with some saying it would be replayed. If their fans stopped the game I'd be very surprised if we didn't get the points, but I would absolutely rather win those points properly on the pitch.

Im not sure what they would achieve apart from making the clubs situation worse. I don’t think getting the game abandoned would gain them any wider support, which is important to them. More importantly I don’t think it would affect the owner or his stance.

The nagging doubt in our players minds that it will happen concerns me.
They absolutely know about it as Lampard said he/they were seeking clarification on things from the EFL (and they haven't had any!)and mentioned player safety!!!!

Tbf Reading fans were very passionate and organised protests really well. Not what you'd expect from that type of club.

The Wednesday forum reminds me of this place 10 years ago, plenty against protesting and standing with the 'support the team' mentality.

very surprised if the game gets abandoned, it’ll def be stopped at some point, probably just after our 3rd goes in, just hope we stay focused on the game, most of our protests had a negative effect on the team, was it Sheff utd that scored straight after one ?

Whilst I understand they are frustrated, a pitch invasion imo is not going to do much for their cause.

Chansiri from what I have seen does not much give a fuck what they think and is extremely hard-headed. If anything, I think it would just piss him off and make him stall longer as it were, out of spite.

If they do protest I don't think they've got much to lose. Likely to get a points deduction anyway if the players continue not to be paid on time and also struggling on the pitch. Long run won't make much difference to them . They just want the owner gone.

Let’s be honest the mainstream British media couldn’t care less about 99% of championship clubs. If they get the game abandoned, it’s big news for about an hour until a Untied or Arsenal player doing anything mildly interesting in their 3pm kick offs then the focus is back on the premier league again

Other than a ban from going to games, a big fine and a criminal record

It's safety in numbers or not at all. A lot of them that are more into the latest idea of protesting have already stopped going to games. We kept protesting with owners that kept showing their faces. It didn't stop them from taking us out of our city twice. They have an owner they can't even contact.

Surely anything other than awarding us the points encourages it in future too.

We shoukd be 100% be given the points.

As this would send a dangerous precedent which would ruin the integrity of the game.

So unless it's from the weather or unforseen unpreventable incidents this shoukd 100% be given.

A world cup semi final match between India and Sri lanka at Eden gardens Calcutta small matter of 100k protested when india were getting smashed at home and decided to set fires off. The match awarded to Sri Lanka..common sense should prevail. Disgrace if it doesn't.

I agree, but its the common sense bit that worries me, im not sure the football league can be relied on to implement common sense.

I do think they should be decisive though, and awarding the game to the opposition should be just the start, maybe a further points deduction or a severe fine to discourage repeats in the future.

Im all for peacefull protest, and even holding a game up could be tolerated in certain circumstances, but getting games abandoned is way out of order (imho)

I’m sure a handful of oddballs will try to invade the pitch but unless you have the whole stadium behind you then the momentum will fall away pretty quickly.

If they really wanted to get the game abandoned then they would be better off chaining themselves to the goalposts. Even then you’d need several people willing to get nicked.

They'll get the book thrown at them if it's only a few. Some will be daft enough, I expect.

They’d probably be left in place to try and keep the score down.

I imagine there will be far more Wednesday warriors on the front rows getting performatively angry with the rest of the crowd for not bravely following them onto the pitch. It’ll be a case of ‘you first’…

That's the thing about common sense and the FL.
There is not a chance in hell that if the game is abandoned by a Shef Wed supporters pitch protest that we will be awarded a 3-0 win and with it 3 pts.
The game will be replayed behind closed doors.

The only time I can think of a game being abandoned due to the actions of 1 team (that includes fans) is the battle of Brammel Lane and WBA got a 3-0 nil win from that?

Ironically that involved a mass exodus from the pitch.
